Larry David’s ex-wife Laurie slams Cheryl Hines for ‘setting women back decades’ by supporting RFK Jr
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Larry David’s ex-wife Laurie David is not pleased with the political choices of her former spouse’s ‘Curb Your Enthusiasm’ co-star Cheryl Hines.
Laurie, 66, recently took to her social media to vocally criticize Hines for siding with her controversial husband, Robert F Kennedy Jr.
Slamming the actress, who shared screen with Laurie’s ex-husband, Larry in ‘Curb Your Enthusiasm’, the ‘Fed Up’ executive producer claimed Cheryl is “setting women back decades” by supporting her former spouse, per OK! Magazine.
Laurie David slams Cheryl Hines for supporting Robert F Kennedy Jr
Taking to Instagram’s Threads on Thursday, January 30, Laurie David wrote, "Cheryl Hines in her best and most watched performance yet as the 'dutiful, adoring wife' setting women back decades.”
RFK Jr, 71, has found himself embroiled in several controversies regarding his supposed anti-vaccination stance, leading to an outrage when President Donald Trump nominated him as United States Secretary of Health and Human Services.
The politician, who sparked speculation about popping in a nicotine pouch during his Senate confirmation hearing on Thursday, January 30, was criticized by Senator Ron Wyden in an opening statement before the hearing.
Referencing his alleged anti-vaccination stance, the senator said, "He has made it his life's work to sow doubt and discourage parents from getting their kids lifesaving vaccines. It has been lucrative for him, and put him on the verge of immense power.”
"This is the profile of someone who chases money and influence wherever they lead, even if that may mean the tragic deaths of children and other vulnerable people,” continued Wyden.
Nevertheless, the politician denied the rumor of him being against vaccination, while claiming that he "probably" did once state Lyme disease is "highly likely a materially engineered bioweapon."
Cheryl Hines plans to stop sales of her cosmetics line if Robert F Kennedy Jr gets confirmed
Laurie David's comments against Cheryl Hines came just a week after it was reported that the 59-year-old actress would stop the sales of her cosmetic products if her husband (with whom she tied the knot in 2014) took up the office of the next secretary of Health and Human Services, reports NBC News.
Hines, who has previously used her husband's political image and his MAHA campaign (Make America Healthy Again) to sell cosmetics, has declared that she would stop the sale if RFK Jr is confirmed in the post.
According to the financial disclaimer, she said, “My spouse has agreed that Hines & Young, LLC, will stop sales of the company’s cosmetic inventory no later than 90 days from the date of my appointment."
