DENVER, COLORADO: Colorado Republican Lauren Boebert, Newsmax host Jenn Pellegrino, and Ginger Gaetz, the wife of Rep Matt Gaetz (R-Fla), are expected to be featured as "special guests" at the ‘Hot Girl Summer women's happy hour’ event organized by the Washington DC Young Republicans on June 26.

According to Newsmax, the event is set to be held at Takoda Navy Yard Rooftop, a bar located at 1299 1st Street SE. Guests are requested to arrive at 6 pm ET.

What was mentioned in Young Republicans' Hot Girl Summer event invite?

The Washington DC Young Republicans shared a pink promotional image on X, formerly known as Twitter, to advertise the upcoming event.

The graphic featured the headshots of three “special guests,” alongside silhouettes of women in swimwear and palm trees.

Since Friday, June 14, the post has garnered over 103,000 views from users on various platforms.

The attached RSVP form cautioned that “space is limited” and asked interested individuals to respond if they’ll be attending the event, by June 25th.

Among the featured “special guests” list, Jenn Pellegrino serves as a news anchor for the conservative-oriented network Newsmax and previously held the position of White House correspondent for the One America News Network, which is also aligned with the political right.

On X, Pellegrino celebrated the 78th birthday of the 2024 presumptive Republican presidential nominee, Donald Trump, by sharing an old photo of herself asking him a question at a White House press event.

She captioned the photo, saying, "Throwback to the days when we had a President who took questions from EVERYONE in the briefing room! Happy birthday, President Donald Trump!"

Ginger Gaetz identifies herself as an "AI innovator" on X and boasts a following of over 69,000. She tied the knot with Matt Gaetz, the Florida GOP representative and ardent Trump supporter, in 2021.

Why was Lauren Boebert’s involvement in DCYR event derided online?

Rep Lauren Boebert (R-Colo.), who currently represents Colorado's third congressional district in the House, is campaigning to become her party's candidate for the more conservative fourth congressional district in the upcoming November election.

According to a recent Kaplan Strategies poll, the firebrand Republican congresswoman leads the six-way GOP primary race with 40 percent support, while other contenders are yet to reach double digits.

The Republican primary for Colorado's 4th congressional district is scheduled for June 25. A recent Kaplan Strategies poll, which surveyed 343 registered likely voters, indicates Rep Boebert's favorability rating at 47 percent.

Lauren Boebert was faced with controversy in September 2023 when she was asked to leave a performance of the musical ‘Beetlejuice’ for not refusing to stop vaping and taking photos.

Subsequent video footage suggested that Boebert and a male companion were touching each other inappropriately at the show. At first, the congresswoman denied the allegations but later apologized for her unfitting behavior.

Earlier this month, when Rep Boebert arrived for an interview with Denver, Colorado, radio station KOA, she was welcomed with music from ‘Beetlejuice’.

Unsurprisingly, this announcement sparked a wave of jokes about the controversial congresswoman, who is still dealing with the aftermath of her Beetlejuice-related incident from last year.

Internet lambasts Lauren Boebert for featuring as a 'special guest' in DCYR event

One X user remarked, "Feel up a date in public and suddenly you're one of the "Hot Girl Summer" clan members. Your constituents should be very proud."

Another user said, "Calling boebert a "hot girl" means you have no taste."

Another user wrote, "Lauren Boebert as a hot girl?? Man your standards are in the gutter."

One X user quipped, "Are you the Old Granny of the hot girl group?"

Another user asked, "Where are the hot ones exactly?"

A user tweeted, "I’m all for women in politics, power…but why sexualize it? #WrongDirection."
