LONDON, UK: Liam Payne's $3.97 million Buckinghamshire mansion was quietly listed for sale just weeks before the former One Direction star’s tragic death in October.

The five-bedroom property in the picturesque Foxwood area of Chalfont St Giles had been purchased in 2021 to allow Payne, 31, to be near his ex-partner Cheryl Cole and their seven-year-old son, Bear.

Liam Payne's detached home, set on six acres of land, boasts luxury amenities including a swimming pool, a stable, and an annex.

It was listed for $3.97 million on property website Rightmove in September but no longer appears for sale.

Payne’s decision to sell the home remains unclear, but it coincided with his move to a $9,500-a-month Florida mansion with girlfriend Kate Cassidy, just weeks before his untimely death.

Neighbors in the quiet Buckinghamshire village expressed shock at Payne’s sudden passing, describing him as a kind and genuine member of the community.

Thomas Evans, one of Payne’s neighbors, paid tribute to the late singer, calling him a "very genuine and humble person."

“He lived a quiet life here. He was a private guy, but he was a warm person who would always greet you with a smile and stop to talk for a while,” Evans told Daily Mail.

His sudden death on October 16 sent shockwaves through the village and beyond, leaving fans, friends, and family devastated.
