Why did Donald Trump kick One Direction out of his hotel?

According to NME, which reported on Liam Payne's interview with Rollacoaster, the former president kicked out the singer and his band at the height of their popularity from his establishment, as they had allegedly refused to meet his daughter.

"Trump actually kicked us out of his hotel once. You wouldn’t believe it. It was about (meeting) his daughter," said Payne at the time.

"He phoned up our manager and we were asleep. He said ‘Well, wake them up’ and I was like ‘No’ and then he wouldn’t let us use the underground garage. Obviously in New York, we can’t really go outside. New York is ruthless for us,” he continued.

"So he was like, ‘OK, then I don’t want you in my hotel.’ So we had to leave," added the singer.

Payne never clarified which of his daughters Trump wanted the band to meet.

Liam said the band was woken up and asked to meet her but they were too exhausted to do so and that did not sit right with Trump allegedly.

Previously in 2017 when Trump first took office, the story about his alleged feud with 1D had broken out.

And now, stories about the former president are surfacing again ahead of the 2024 presidential election.
