Payne began his relationship with former partner Cheryl Cole in 2016, following her divorce from ex-husband Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Versini. However, they split in 2018, a year after their son Bear was born.

Later, Payne briefly dated Naomi Campbell before entering a relationship with Maya Henry. The couple split in 2022 after being engaged for two years.

From October 2022 until his tragic death, Payne was in a relationship with Kate Cassidy, who was with him in Buenos Aires during his final moments.

Liam Payne kept his son out of the public spotlight

"I see him two times a week, three times a week sometimes. And I make sure when I see him, he has 100 percent of my time. I make sure that I'm not on my phone or dicking around somewhere else," the late singer said.

Payne noted that he liked to give those important moments to his son.

"He needs his dad in his life, and I'm happy he looks at me like a superhero, and I'm hoping to keep it that way," he added.

According to Alberto Crescenti, a spokesman for the city ambulance service, Payne fell from a height of 40 meters and sustained multiple fatal injuries.

It was only after he was pronounced dead upon the ambulance's arrival at CasaSur Hotel at 5:11 PM local time that they learned he was a famous singer.

His final posts on Snapchat featured him posing with Cassidy just minutes before the tragic end of his life.
