Brigitte Macron warmly met Kate Middleton
As per reports, Emmanuel Macron met the future UK monarch and gave him a firm handshake before moving toward Kate Middleton, who looked chic in a Christian Dior dress, which she paired with a bow-adorned hat by Jess Collett and her mother-in-law Princess Diana's earrings, to air kiss her hand.
“Thank you. Thank you very much. Thank you. … It’s good to see you,” the 47-year-old politician told the royal pair, according to lip reader Jeremy Freeman.
Brigitte then met Kate and told her it was “so good” to see her, before adding, “You look great,” possibly referring to her health after her cancer battle.

Kate Middleton said life after cancer is ‘really, really difficult’
The Princess of Wales was diagnosed with cancer in February last year.
During her recent visit to Colchester Hospital in Essex, the mother of three, who has been declared cancer-free, talked about her experience, sharing, “You put on a sort of brave face, stoicism through treatment. Treatment's done, then it's like, 'I can crack on, get back to normal,' but actually, the phase afterwards is really, really difficult.”
“[Having] someone to help talk you through that, show you and guide you through that sort of phase that comes after treatment … is really valuable,” the 47-year-old said, before adding that finding a “new normal … takes time”.
Kate also asserted, “It’s a roller coaster, it’s not smooth, like you expect it to be. But the reality is you go through hard times.”
King Charles says UK and France will face ‘complex threats’ together
Meanwhile, the French first couple was also later greeted by King Charles and Queen Camilla at Windsor town centre's Datchet Road.

During a toast on Tuesday evening, the UK monarch reportedly said, “Our two countries face a multitude of more complex threats, emanating from multiple directions. As friends and as allies, we face them together.”
Earlier, the French president had tweeted, "I am arriving in the United Kingdom for a State Visit, followed by a Franco-British summit. An important moment for our two nations."
