Lizzo, who has been open about her weight-loss journey, previously shared her intentions with her followers in January 2024, Daily Mail reported.

"I am actually on an intentional weight-loss journey right now," the four-time Grammy winner explained.

"Even at the end of my weight-loss journey, I'm not going to be considered thin by any means. I will still be considered morbidly obese on the BMI. And little bros on the Internet are still going to call me big backed. But I will be happy," she added.

The singer reached a significant milestone in her weight loss when she shared her progress on January 16, revealing that she had lowered her body mass index (BMI) by 10.5 and lost 16% of her body fat.

"I did it. Today when I stepped on my scale, I reached my weight release goal," she wrote. "I haven't seen this number since 2014! Let this be a reminder you can do anything you put your mind to. Time for new goals!"

While some have speculated that Lizzo might be using the trendy weight-loss drug Ozempic, which is often prescribed for type 2 diabetes, she has never confirmed these rumors.

In September 2023, she dismissed the allegations with an eye roll, stating that her transformation was the result of  "five months of weight training and having a calorie deficit" through a high-protein, veggie-based diet.
