Schools closed in Winchester city of Indiana
According to reports from the National Weather Service, multiple suspected tornadoes touched down, with some areas experiencing significant damage. In Indiana, the city of Winchester bore the brunt of the devastation, prompting officials to close all schools in the district on Friday, March 15, to assess the extent of the destruction.
"It appears that is the most significant damage that we've had reported to us," Joseph Nield, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Indianapolis, stated, referring to the Winchester area.
Meanwhile, in Selma, Indiana, preliminary assessments revealed that up to half of the town's structures had been damaged by the storm.
Although there were no reports of fatalities, minor injuries were reported, with only one person requiring hospitalization, according to the Delaware County Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Management.

Ohio was not spared from the wrath of the storm system either. Officials in Logan County, northwest of Columbus, confirmed reports of a suspected tornado strike.
