Macklemore accidentally brings wanted fugitive on stage during Slovakia concert leading to her arrest
BRATISLAVA, SLOVAKIA: Macklemore, whose full name is Benjamin Hammond Haggerty, unintentionally set a unique 'Trap' of his own during his performance last weekend at the Lovestream Festival in Bratislava.
In a strange twist of events at the festival, a woman was arrested after making her way on stage for a duet with the 'Can't Hold Us' rapper on August 24.
Woman arrested at Macklemore's Slovakia concert for 2019 incident
The Slovak Republic Police later shared details in a translated Facebook post, revealing that the woman was chosen to join "one of the foreign performers" on stage—confirmed by an accompanying photo as Macklemore.
The translated Facebook post read, "A Slovenian woman forgot that she was wanted during a joint solo with Macklemore: the police waited until she was going up and took her to prison."
The concluding part of the post noted, "The police subsequently waited until the woman on the stage was [identified as an] adult and detained a 24-year-old woman from Bratislava, on whom the court was issued an order to impose imprisonment, which the young woman was avoiding. The woman was subsequently escorted to the premises of the institution for imprisonment."
However, another fan in the crowd recognized her from a wanted person's page on a law enforcement website.
According to local news outlet Plus 7, a woman was recently arrested for an unpaid €800 fine related to a 2019 incident where she allegedly streaked topless at a soccer game.
After spending a weekend in jail back then, the fine went unpaid, leading to her arrest this week.
In a fan-captured video, the woman, referred to as "Samantha" by rapper Macklemore, is seen dancing on stage with him during a performance of 'Downtown'.
Authorities in the Slovak Republic patiently waited until she left the stage to take her into custody.

Irrespective of the moment, during his set in Bratislava, Macklemore surprised the crowd by debuting a song written by his nine-year-old daughter. "I hope Sloane isn’t mad we leaked it…" he playfully captioned an Instagram video of the moment.
Macklemore's concert at Lovestream Festival interrupted by heavy rain
The musician himself has remained silent about the incident. However, he did share a post about his Lovestream set being interrupted by heavy rain.
In his Instagram post, Macklemore described how, "it rained as hard as rain can fall. Lightning vigorously pierced the Bratislava Slovakia sky," leaving him uncertain if they would even take the stage that night. Despite the initial evacuation, the show eventually resumed.
"I’m sure some went home, but from my eye 25,000 beautiful drenched humans resumed in their places with spirits as charged as the lightening in the distance. We had come too far to turn back and the weather gods gave us a window, the post read.

Macklemore continued, "Something about a show almost getting canceled makes you appreciate every moment on stage even more. Gratitude ensues and it reverberated throughout the entire festival. We were alive, soaked and gave it everything. I love you Bratislava. I will never forget our night together."
According to Entertainment Weekly, fans online couldn’t help but draw parallels between Macklemore’s recent situation and M Night Shyamalan's latest thriller, 'Trap'.
One X user wrote, "Macklemore lowkey Lady Raven when you think about it."

In the movie, a serial killer, played by Josh Hartnett, tries to dodge law enforcement at a pop concert, with pop star Lady Raven (portrayed by Shyamalan’s daughter, Saleka Night Shyamalan) playing a key role in the sting.
Unlike the film’s plot twist, Macklemore appeared completely unaware of the unfolding drama on stage, and according to a police Facebook post, the woman’s arrest wasn’t part of a pre-planned operation when the show began.
The Lovestream Festival was a star-studded event, also featuring performances by 50 Cent, Rita Ora, Tiesto, and a host of other international sensations.
