NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Seattle rapper Macklemore stirred up a storm with his latest release, a politically charged track titled 'Hind's Hall', in which he takes direct shots at President Joe Biden over his stance on Israel's conflict with Hamas.

The Grammy-Award winning artist, whose real name is Benjamin Hammond Haggerty, made it clear that he won't be supporting Biden in the upcoming 2024 general election due to what he perceives as the president's complicity in Israel's actions, as per New York Post.

In the song, Macklemore didn't hold back, delivering lyrics like "The blood is on your hands, Biden, we can see it all," and boldly declared, "And f— no, I’m not voting for you in the fall." The track, which was dropped on Macklemore's Instagram account, has sparked widespread debate and discussion.

The song’s title is a nod to the recent high-profile incident at Columbia University’s Hamilton Hall, which was the site of a break-in and occupation by a mob of masked protesters. They were eventually removed and arrested by NYPD officers.

The protesters renamed the building 'Hind’s Hall' as a tribute to Hind Rajab, a 6-year-old Palestinian girl who had lost her life in the Middle Eastern conflict. This renaming occurred after the demonstrators had spent nearly two weeks camping out in front of the Ivy League institution, protesting against Israel.

In the music video for 'Hind's Hall', footage featuring a range of political figures is prominently showcased.

Included among them are Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Florida Republican Governor Ron DeSantis, Senator Mitch McConnell of Kentucky, Representative Jim Banks of Indiana, and Westchester County Executive George Latimer, who is currently contending against Representative Jamaal Bowman in the Democratic primary for New York's 16th District.

Macklemore pledged that all proceeds from the song will support the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA). However, UNRWA has faced allegations of ties to Hamas, with claims that some of its employees were involved in terrorist activities against Israel.
