Mama June plans to move out of home where daughter Anna Cardwell died as it's taken 'emotional' toll
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Mama June Shannon is reportedly looking for a new house for herself as she’s finding it difficult to live at her current home, where her daughter Anna "Chickadee" Cardwell died on December 9, 2023, after a battle with stage four adrenal carcinoma.
The 45-year-old mother of four told People, "I'm trying to move out of this home. I don't want to be here anymore."
Mama June Shannon says her children don't want to come to her home
"It's just a mental and emotional f*** for everybody, if that makes sense because we have to go to bed here; we have to wake up here; we live here," expressed Mama June Shannon.
Referring to her other children, the TLC star revealed, "Pumpkin and the other girls don't want to come here because they were all here when Anna passed."
She also mentioned that now she understands why her mother sold her childhood home after her stepfather died almost three decades ago.
"I was always mad at my mom because she gave away the childhood home. She moved very quickly. It was a week after my stepdad passed away," she recalled. "He didn't even die in the house, he died at a hospice care center. And I was like, 'Why would you want to do that? Why wouldn’t you want to be there?'"
"Well, now I understand, even though I don't talk to my mother, why she had done that. Because it's just a constant reminder of everything, like the last days. The good memories are here, most certainly," Mama June noted.

She further stated that there are some days when she "just sits here and I just wallow in it."
"I don't want to do anything. I don't want to go anywhere. I don't want to be bothered. I went through that slump I think until a month or so ago where I didn't go for four months to get my hair done. I didn't go get my nails done," the mother of four added.
