Mama June reveals late daughter Anna 'Chickadee' Cardwell is still in family group chat

"It will be a year on Monday, and we miss the hell out of Anna Marie Cardwell. I would give my last penny to just talk to her and [for] her [to] be here for her girls," began Mama June Shannon.

In her candid post, the TLC star opened up about the raw and unpredictable nature of grief, revealing that the loss of her daughter has been the hardest she’s ever endured.

"Grief honestly [hurts] at random times. I’ve had no control over feeling angry or crying. Losing Anna has been more difficult than losing any other family member," shared the 45-year-old/

Shannon also reflected on the challenges of living in the house where Anna died. "Living in a house Anna passed in is so hard, not just on me but the whole family," she explained.

Despite the pain, Shannon shared her commitment to keeping her daughter's memory alive.

"We have kept our promise—we take her everywhere with us like she wanted, and I will continue to do so. We definitely have [kept] her memory alive and always will," the reality TV star noted.

One touching way Shannon stays connected to Anna is by keeping her presence alive in everyday moments.

"Anna is still in our family group chat," Shannon revealed, adding that Cardwell's sister, Lauryn "Pumpkin" Efird, has also kept her favorite songs playing on her car radio.

"I just can’t and won’t delete any text and won’t ever take her out of the chat," Shannon wrote.

In a bittersweet message to anyone who might one day inherit Anna's number, she joked, "So sorry [to] who gets her number one day—you better not remove yourself."

"I always go to her TikTok and watch her videos all the time and search her name to see all the video people made for her," Shannon concluded.
