Mama June served by Anna 'Chickadee' Cardwell's ex for custody of granddaughter weeks after her death
MILLEDGEVILLE, GEORGIA: The custody dispute over Mama June's 11-year-old granddaughter, Kaitlyn, has escalated as Anna 'Chickadee' Cardwell's ex-husband, Michael Cardwell, served Mama June with custody papers. This move follows Michael's earlier legal action, suing Mama June for custody on December 17.
Court documents, obtained by RadarOnline.com, reveal that Mama June was served with custody papers by a process server on December 22, just days before Christmas and weeks after Anna's death.
On December 28, the proof of service was filed in court. Mama June will now have to defend herself in court.

Michael and Anna, who were married from 2014 to 2017, share an 8-year-old daughter named Kylee, and Michael is seeking custody of Kaitlyn, despite not being her biological father.

Mama June shares heartbreaking news of daughter's passing
Anna died of cancer at the age of 29 on December 9. The sad news was shared by Mama June.
"With the breaking heart, we are announcing that @annamarie35 is no longer with us. She passed away in my home last night peacefully at 11:12 PM," she wrote on Instagram.
"She gave one hell of a fight for 10 months she passed away with her family around her like she won’t and we will be updating y’all with more information as we get it today. We love y’all and continued prayers and thoughts for our family doing this difficult time," Mama June concluded.
Anna Toney secretly married her partner, Eldridge Toney, after she was diagnosed with stage IV adrenal carcinoma after her death.
Anna's brother-in-law, Lauren's husband Joshua, officiated the nuptials in Wilkinson County, Georgia, on March 4. They decided to say "I do" when Anna learned her cancer had spread and she was told her days were numbered.
