Mama June Shannon keeps daughter Anna Cardwell's memory alive with bracelet containing her ashes

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Mama June Shannon has opened up about her emotions, revealing a touching tribute to her late daughter Anna Cardwell with a bracelet containing Anna's ashes, as per People. 

Before her untimely death at the age of 29, the reality TV personality was able to reconcile with her daughter Anna, affectionately known as "Chickadee."

The 44-year-old reality TV star tragically lost her 29-year-old daughter, Anna "Chickadee" Cardwell, to cancer in December of last year.

She revealed that her daughter's final wish was to be cremated and have her ashes made into jewelry as a keepsake to honor her memory.

She told People, "We very much still today, even six months later, keep her memory alive. For me, I personally have to talk about it all the time. She's actually here with us today. She's here [in my charm bracelet]. I always tote her around. That was her thing, that she wanted to be cremated and toted around, so I'm like, okay, let's go, girl."

The star of 'From Not To Hot,' who rose to fame starring alongside her daughter Alana 'Honey Boo Boo' Thompson and the rest of her family in the reality series 'Here Comes Honey Boo Boo' over a decade ago, expressed that she "never expected" to lose a family member or have to confront such a situation on camera.

She said, "We never thought that we would have to lose somebody in our family. We didn't think we was going to experience that ever in reality TV."

In the same interview, June expressed her hope to take her 11-year-old granddaughter, Kaitlyn, away from the house where the tragedy occurred.

She said: "We're hoping to be able to move soon because Anna passed away in our home, and for me and Justin and Kaitlyn it's just a constant remembering. This is where everything happened." 

She added, "We are living in a constant nightmare, but for me, for the last six months, it's been a struggle. I got emotional earlier today. It is just really, am I going to wake up from this nightmare?"

Anna Cardwell died of adrenal carcinoma

People revealed in March 2023 that Shannon's eldest daughter, Anna, was diagnosed with stage 4 adrenal carcinoma.

The cancer was discovered in her liver, kidney, and lung following a series of tests after Anna complained of experiencing stomach aches.

It was later revealed in a teaser for 'Mama June: Family Crisis' that Anna's tumors had grown to "triple the size they were."

Cardwell was a mother to two children: daughter Kaitlyn Elizabeth, born in 2012, and daughter Kylee Madison, born in 2015. She shared custody of Kylee with her ex-husband Michael Cardwell, from whom she separated in 2017 after three years together.

Most recently, Anna was linked with her boyfriend Eldridge Toney, with whom she made their relationship Instagram official in April 2019.
