Margaret Qualley's rep dismisses ‘trust issues’ and ‘infidelity’ rumors in Jack Antonoff split
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Actress Margaret Qualley’s team is addressing her split from music producer Jack Antonoff, dismissing speculation surrounding their relationship after reports confirmed the couple had separated.
Qualley's representative stressed that the narratives surrounding their marriage are false, adding that the former couple continue to have deep love, respect, and care for one another despite ending their relationship.
Margaret Qualley's rep denies trust issues and infidelity rumors after Jack Antonoff split
On Friday, July 10, a representative for Qualley released a statement acknowledging the couple's separation after nearly three years of marriage.
"The narratives running in the press about Margaret and Jack are categorically untrue."
"There are no trust issues. There was no infidelity or anything outside of respect and partnership in this relationship," the representative further said in the statement obtained by PEOPLE.
The statement further added, "They have deep love and care for one another. There are only two people in this marriage, and the sources who are talking to the press and commenting on their relationship are not people who know them. Please respect their privacy."
PEOPLE exclusively confirmed on July 8 that the Grammy-winning music producer and 'The Substance' actress had separated. At the time, a second source told the outlet that the former couple were "figuring things out."
A day later, on July 9, another insider shared that "They love each other deeply," adding that "they are going through this process with nothing but kindness and unity."
Another source also said the former couple remained on good terms despite splitting several months before what would have been their third wedding anniversary.
"They love each other deeply and are very sweet to each other. They are going through this process with nothing but kindness and unity," the source said, adding, "The rumors swirling around out there about them just aren't true."
Margaret Qualley and Jack Antonoff's relationship inspired music before their split
The breakup news came just days after Antonoff attended longtime friend and collaborator Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's July 3 wedding at Madison Square Garden. Qualley was absent from the celebration, while he attended alongside his sister, fashion designer Rachel Antonoff.
The pair first sparked dating speculation after they were photographed kissing in Brooklyn in August 2021. They officially debuted their relationship on the red carpet at an AFI Awards Luncheon in March 2022 while supporting Qualley's Netflix series 'Maid'.
The pair got engaged in May 2022 and married in New Jersey in August 2023. Their wedding included guests such as Swift, Channing Tatum, Zoe Kravitz, and Lana Del Rey.
Their relationship also influenced several musical projects. Antonoff's Bleachers song 'Dirty Wedding Dress', featured on the band's album 'Everyone for Ten Minutes', released in May, reflected on their wedding.
"The dirty wedding dress is a promise / I knew it that night at the shore / And I knew that night on the rooftop / I knew that she was from before / So we got married that August / And the neighbors all lost their minds / We had to board up all the windows and shoot out the drones / We took that sadness right from Saturday night, oh," Antonoff sings on the track.
