Mariah Carey's NFL performance came as her legendary track 'All I Want for Christmas Is You' celebrated a new milestone. On December 9, the song marked its 15th cumulative week at No 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and reclaimed its top spot on Billboard’s Holiday 100 chart, as per Variety

The NFL Gameday performance also followed the conclusion of the 55-year-old's Christmas Time Tour, which she wrapped up in Brooklyn, New York on December 17. Carey's fourteenth concert tour, which featured a 26-song set, was originally meant to have twenty-one dates, but the singer had to cancel three shows due to health issues.

This holiday season is extra special for the singer as she celebrates the 30th anniversary of the release of her 'Merry Christmas' album. To mark the occasion, Carey released a deluxe vinyl 2LP edition as well as a zoetrope vinyl edition of the holiday album.
