The 55-year-old singer's latest "boytoy," 38-year-old rapper Anderson Paak has added to their concern by being a "fawning enabler," as per the publication.

Sources told Radar Online that Mariah Carey was criticized by her fans and critics over her recent performances, and thus took to fancy dinners and luxurious shopping sprees as a coping mechanism.
An insider described her latest habits as, "Shopping at ritzy stores after hours, fancy dinners every night and bottles of the best champagne, because she'll only drink the best."
"If there's anyone who knows how to have a good time, it's Mariah. No one begrudges her for having fun, but the fear is she is partying too much," they noted.
Anderson has been supportive of Carey's over-the-top lifestyle, much to the annoyance of the singer's close circle.
"Her friends think he is encouraging her worst habits and living in the lap of luxury while he indulges her self-pity," said the source, while another added, "She spends too many late nights drowning herself in booze. Now she is hanging out with her new boytoy and a lot of people in her circle think he's a bad influence on her."

Mariah Carey, popularly known as the 'Queen of Christmas', is reportedly worth $350 million, as per Marca. However, sources shared that the 'All I Want for Christmas' singer is "cash-poor" and is blowing through her money at present.
"She has a very high net worth on paper, but she’s now massively in debt and cash-poor," a source reportedly told Radar. "She spends money like she’s a billionaire and there’s a real worry she could drive herself into a poorhouse if she doesn’t rein it in."
"She’s realistic. She knows her money is a big part of the draw, but she actually enjoys spending on them. She gets off on throwing her money around," shared another.
Carey is known to have spoiled her lovers with lavish gifts, new clothes, fancy haircuts, and all the bling they wanted, plus private jets, gourmet meals, five-star hotels, and limo service. However, sources doubt that she would be able to keep that up for much longer.
“These guys live the high life, and it’s costing Mariah a lot of money," they stated and continued, "Basically, they had everything she had, so it doubled her expenses – and she simply can’t do it anymore, not if she wants to stay out of the red."
