Mariska Hargitay and Christopher Meloni hold hands at Knicks game, fans say ‘love their friendship’

NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: 'Law & Order' stars Mariska Hargitay and Christopher Meloni were spotted holding hands while enjoying a New York Knicks vs Cleveland Cavaliers game at Madison Square Garden in New York City on Friday, April 11.

The actress attended the game with her 18-year-old son August Hermann while the 64-year-old Emmy nominee was joined by his wife of almost three decades, Sherman Williams, as reported by the Daily Mail.

Mariska Hargitay enjoys Christopher Meloni's company

Mariska Hargitay donned a gray sweatshirt that read ‘LA Strong’ along with a pair of blue pants for the outing. Christopher Meloni was seen in a black jacket and jeans.

Later, Hargitay posted photos and a video of her hugging Knicks point guard Jalen Brunson on her Instagram.

She captioned them as “#AboutLastNight Always love the Garden on a Friday night @msgnetworks and watching the @nyknicks and #captain @jalenbrunson1. Didn’t mind the company either… @chris_meloni #FridayNightFriends #CaptainToCaptain #MyFavoriteCaptain.”

This came after last month Meloni, popular for his role as NYPD Detective Elliot Stabler on 'Law & Order: Special Victims Unit', posted two selfies with his co-star on his social media page.

He wrote, “So I bumped into this one on the street @therealmariskahargitay 1 Don’t Smile 2 Smile.”

Mariska Hargitay calls her friendship with Christopher Meloni ‘magical’

Mariska Hargitay and Christopher Meloni have been friends since 1999 as they began working together on 'Law & Order: Special Victims Unit'.

In all these years, their friendship has remained as strong as ever. 

Besides, Hargitay is also the godmother of Meloni and Williams’ 24-year-old daughter Sophia.

During an earlier interview, the ‘The Perfect Weapon’ star spoke of her friendship with Meloni.

She reportedly shared, “I knew quickly that we had this kind of magical chemistry.”

“Chris and I are polar opposites in terms of who we are as people. And yet, there was this yin-yang. So when they paired us [during the audition], I was like, ‘Oh, this is done,’” Hargitay added.
