WASHINGTON, DC: Marjorie Taylor Greene posted a long statement on X (formerly Twitter) after President Donald Trump withdrew his endorsement and support for her on Friday, November 14. In her response, the congresswoman said she had given Trump “too much of my time and too much of my own money,” but emphasized that she doesn’t “worship or serve Donald Trump.”

She also suggested that Trump pulling back his support was meant to pressure other Republicans ahead of next week’s vote on releasing the Jeffrey Epstein files.

Greene was one of four Republicans to support the move despite Trump’s strong objections.

In her lengthy post, Marjorie Taylor Greene clarified that she never called Donald Trump, who dubbed her "wacky" in his Truth Social post.

"President Trump just attacked me and lied about me. I haven’t called him at all, but I did send these text messages today. Apparently, this is what sent him over the edge. The Epstein files," she wrote, attaching screenshots of the text messages.

Greene pushed back, saying, "And of course he’s coming after me hard to make an example to scare all the other Republicans before next weeks vote to release the Epstein files. It’s astonishing, really, how hard he’s fighting to stop the Epstein files from coming out that he actually goes to this level."

She went on to say, "I have supported President Trump with too much of my precious time, too much of my own money, and fought harder for him even when almost all other Republicans turned their back and denounced him. But I don’t worship or serve Donald Trump."

Greene ended her post with, "For me, I remain America First and America Only!!!"

What led Trump to pull his support and label Marjorie Taylor Greene a 'lunatic'?

Donald Trump announced that he is pulling his endorsement and support from Marjorie Taylor Greene and even hinted that he’s ready to back a primary challenger against her. Trump’s decision came shortly after a discharge petition succeeded.

The petition triggered a floor vote on a bill that requires the Department of Justice (DOJ) to release all the unclassified Epstein files. This is something Greene has been strongly pushing for.

On Truth Social, Trump wrote, “I am withdrawing my support and Endorsement of ‘Congresswoman’ Marjorie Taylor Greene, of the Great State of Georgia,” and complained that despite everything he’s done for her, “all I see ‘Wacky’ Marjorie do is COMPLAIN, COMPLAIN, COMPLAIN!” He even said that Greene has "lost her way."

He went even further, calling Greene a "ranting lunatic" and saying she has "gone Far Left." The move marks a clear rise in tension between them. Their relationship has been getting worse for months as Greene has openly criticized other Republicans and even the president.
