LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Mark Wahlberg has revealed an epic Valentine's Day gesture that blew away his wife, Rhea Durham

During a recent appearance on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live!', guest host Jeff Goldblum couldn't resist asking the actor about the tattoo on his ring finger.

"That's my wife's name!" said the actor with a grin, adding, "In case I'm not wearing my ring or I'm working."

The father of four shared, "I got this on Valentine's Day one year. [Rhea] said, 'That’s the nicest thing you've ever done!' I said, 'Well, can I have back the expensive jewelry? And we’ll just get you one of these too?'"

Mark Wahlberg says his wife's name is his only remaining tattoo

Mark Wahlberg and Rhea Durham first crossed paths at a press event in 2001 and tied the knot in 2009. The pair share four children: daughters Ella and Grace, and sons Michael and Brendan.

The 'Ted' star also told Goldblum that his wife's name is the only tattoo he kept after undergoing a grueling five-year process to remove the rest. "[It's] terribly painful," admitted Wahlberg, adding, "They promise you that it's very quick, a couple of visits. It took me many years."

The actor added, "I actually was trying to get them removed by the time I was gonna do 'The Fighter' because every time I did a movie if I had to take my shirt off I had to cover it all with makeup. Agonizing experience. So I tried to get it done and it took me like five years to get them completely removed."

Wahlberg likened the tattoo removal process to "hot bacon grease getting flicked on you over and over again." "Hopefully the technology has advanced by now," he mockingly remarked.
