Meghan Markle lands at bottom as celebrity chef ranking delivers dire verdict on her Netflix cooking show

MONTECITO, CALIFORNIA: The Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle, came last in the Daily Mail's inaugural Power List of celebrity chefs, which gave the definitive ranking of the most influential figures in the cooking industry.
Interestingly, Markle is the latest A-lister to thrust her fork into the proverbial fire, as she launched her Netflix lifestyle and cooking series 'With Love, Meghan' earlier in 2025.
Celebrity chef ranking puts Meghan Markle at last
Based on exclusive polling, Daily Mail's Power List captured public sentiment around likeability, trustworthiness, perceived bias, and knowledge, and told who Americans like and trust, and who they don't.
As per the verdict, some chefs are adored while others are despised. For Meghan, the results were not something she would have hoped for.
Chef Ina Garten has cemented herself as one of the most influential chefs in the industry, with her 13 cookbooks and her booming Food Network show 'Barefoot Contessa'.
Even though her skills in the kitchen contributed to her success, it was her fierce determination and her warm and approachable personality that captured her fans' hearts. She topped the Power List ranking.
She started her career working as a White House budget analyst. However, in 1978, she left her government job and bought a food store in New York called Barefoot Contessa.
Ina grew Barefoot Contessa into a booming business for more than two decades before releasing her first cookbook in 1999. Interestingly, it was a success and launched her into mega stardom within the culinary world.
However, the same cannot be said about the Duchess of Sussex till now, as she is on the other end of the spectrum, coming dead last in the Power List.

Meghan tried to enter the cooking world by releasing her Netflix show 'With Love, Meghan' earlier in 2025.
It showed her and her celebrity friend "rolling up their sleeves in the kitchen, garden, and beyond". She also launched her line of products, including jams, cookie mixes, and honeys.
However, the public was not impressed by her, as the Daily Mail's inaugural Power Ranking showed she is viewed as the least credible and entertaining of all celebrity cooks.
Interestingly, a second season of 'With Love, Meghan' is set to air on August 26.
She was placed at the bottom in every category, ranking last in likeability and knowledgeability, as well as how biased and truthful she is.
Survey shows Meghan Markle as celeb people would want to spend least time with
Daily Mail's survey showed that Meghan Markle is the celebrity chef that 1,000 people polled for would least like to spend time with. She is also viewed as the least fun.
However, the other eight chefs and TV cooks in the list are viewed fairly evenly by different demographics, but Markle sparks a strong reaction.
Interestingly, the survey shows women are much more likely to find her unlikable than men, and older people have the strongest distaste for her cooking.

Moreover, Republicans are dramatically more opposed to her than Democrats.
Furthermore, the survey showed that Gordon Ramsay, the Scottish culinary titan, is seen as the most knowledgeable and truthful of all the celebrity chefs.
Meanwhile, 83-year-old Martha Stewart was second to Ramsay in terms of knowledge. Elder people put her above Ramsey, but she is viewed more favorably by under-65s.
