LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Meghan Markle isn’t losing any sleep over President Donald Trump’s freshly announced global tariffs — and her lifestyle brand, As Ever, is already thriving.

While markets rattled and international suppliers braced for impact, the Duchess of Sussex casually revealed she’s already one step ahead.

In an April 7 sit-down with Fortune, Meghan, 43, addressed the elephant in the room — Trump’s new 10% baseline tariff on all imports to the US, with even higher rates for what the White House labeled “the worst offenders”, like China and the European Union. But Meghan seems unbothered.

“At the moment, all of our products are currently made in the US,” she told Fortune.

Just five days earlier, on April 2 — the same day the White House dropped its tariff bombshell — she had launched the debut collection from As Ever—billed as a warm, cozy, feel-good lifestyle line with a focus on simple indulgences and affordability.

Meghan Markle’s brand sells out in under an hour

Even with the looming shadow of a trade war, Meghan Markle’s brand exploded out of the gate — and sold out in less than an hour.

The first As Ever drop featured eight items: raspberry spread, a limited-edition wildflower honey (complete with honeycomb), a cozy herbal tea assortment, crepe mix, shortbread cookie mix with flower sprinkles, and extra jars of those same flower sprinkles.

The prices were refreshingly modest at $12 to $28 — a far cry from high-end royal price tags.

“As we look at the larger context of how [the tariffs] are going to affect the consumer day to day, I’m very grateful that in part of the conception of this brand, I wanted to create products that look more prestige but are more accessible and affordable," she said. "I think during any time of recession, people still want to find creature comforts, items that can bring them joy."

But Meghan seems to have cracked the code by mixing comfort, quality, and just the right sprinkle of glam.

As Ever is currently only shipping domestically across all 50 states, but Meghan made it clear that international expansion is definitely on the horizon.

Meghan Markle reflects on family, fame and finding herself again

Between honey jars and tea blends, Meghan Markle’s been reflecting on a lot more than just branding and marketing. In a People magazine interview from March, the mom-of-two opened up about her journey from royal duty to modern entrepreneur — and all the unexpected lessons along the way.

“There were tons of twists and turns — even with the name. I was figuring it out in real-time,” Meghan shared. “I appreciate everyone who gave me the grace to make mistakes and figure it out and also to be forgiving with myself through that. It’s a learning curve.”

Now living her version of the good life in Montecito with Prince Harry and their two kids, Archie and Lilibet, Meghan says stepping back from royal roles five years ago was just the beginning.

But even as they chart their own course, she says the Sussex title — gifted by Queen Elizabeth on their 2018 wedding day — has taken on deeper meaning over time.

“It’s our shared name as a family, and I guess I hadn’t recognized how meaningful that would be to me until we had children,” she told People. “I love that that is something that Archie, Lili, H, and I all have together. It means a lot to me.”

The Sussex name, she added, “is part of our love story.”

Meghan’s passion project has spilled over into her new Netflix series, 'With Love, Meghan', which premiered on March 4.
