MONTECITO, CALIFORNIA: Meghan Markle has set "one condition" under which King Charles III could meet his grandchildren, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, as reports suggest a possible shift in relations between the Sussex family and the British monarchy.

Meghan and Prince Harry have reportedly purchased a home in Portugal and are seeking a 'Golden Visa', per the Mirror. The Duke's cousin, Princess Eugenie, and her husband, Jack Brooksbank, helped the couple with the property deal.

Meghan Markle insists tight security if King Charles wants to meet his grandchildren

Sources have suggested that the pair's decision to purchase a property in Portugal could provide their children with an opportunity to meet with their grandfather. The children grew up in America after Meghan Markle and Prince Harry left the Royal Family in 2020.

However, Meghan Markle has set one condition straight if there is any chance for the King to meet his grandchildren. A source said, "Now, if it is deemed safe from a security standpoint, it's likely she'll give her blessing for Harry to take Archie and Lilibet to see their grandpa, King Charles, at some point."

The source added while speaking to Closer Magazine, "And in terms of logistics, having a place in Portugal will make that easier, because Meghan can fly over with the kids without feeling trapped."

The source further stated, "She's deeply concerned that the Royal Family might manipulate Harry into reintegrating without her, so she needs to be proactive to make sure she's not isolated or pushed to the side-lines."

Meghan Markle has only visited the UK twice since 2020

Meghan Markle has only visited the UK twice since 2020 but Prince Harry has made more frequent trips. The Duchess of Sussex's last UK visit was in September 2022, which included attending the late Queen Elizabeth's funeral.

After leaving the Royal Family, Meghan first visited the UK in June 2022 for the late monarch's Platinum Jubilee celebrations. Prince Archie, who was born in 2019, spent his initial five months in Windsor at Frogmore Cottage before the family moved to the US.

However, his sister, Princess Lilibet, was born in California and has always been in the US.

Meghan Markle insists on how she should be addressed

Scott Moore, the newly appointed CEO of Invictus Games, recently revealed that he was informed how he should address Meghan Markle during their first-ever meeting earlier in 2024.

He said, "I did make sure to ask how I should be addressing them when they get here." He was told that a simple "Ma’am" was fine for Markle and was informed to address Prince Harry as "Sir," per Mirror.

The instructions were different from how male members of the Firm were addressed upon the first meeting. Male royals are first addressed as "Your Royal Highness," followed by "Sir" whereas female members of the royal family are addressed as "Your Royal Highness," followed by "Ma’am."
