Meghan Markle slammed as she uses royal title despite late queen’s warning: ‘Vile narcissistic woman’

MONTECITO, CALIFORNIA: Meghan Markle has found herself at the center of controversy yet again after royal fans noticed she is still using her 'HRH' title, despite a clear warning from the late Queen Elizabeth II not to.
A recent screenshot circulating online shows a card from the Duchess of Sussex tucked inside a gift basket sent to her friend, Jamie Kern Lima, the CEO of IT Cosmetics, per Daily Mail.

Markle's gift basket, which appeared on Lima's podcast on April 27, Sunday, included homemade strawberry jam, two jars of Straus organic ice cream, some fresh flowers, mint, and the note.
By extension, the gift basket gave a subtle plug to Markle's As Ever lifestyle brand.
Meghan Markle uses ‘HRH’ title to sign off gift card
The card was signed off with “HRH, The Duchess of Sussex,” a title Meghan Markle and Prince Harry agreed not to use for commercial purposes when they officially stepped down as working royals in 2020.

According to Buckingham Palace's original statement in 2020: "The Sussexes will not use their HRH titles as they are no longer working members of the Royal Family."
For context, "HRH," short for His/Her Royal Highness, is an honorific reserved for certain members of the royal family actively carrying out duties on behalf of the crown.
Since their departure to the US, Harry and Markle have seemingly distanced themselves from royal life, yet traces of it continue to emerge in their new California chapter, like the gift card to Lima.

Meghan Markle sparks backlash over using royal title
Royal enthusiasts were quick to spot the royal styling of the gift card Meghan Markle sent to Jamie Kern Lima and weren't shy about expressing their outrage.

One person fumed, "She’s goading the RF into taking action so she can play victim again."
Another added, "She knows that without that title she is back to nothing but a two-bit mattress actress that no one’s even heard of, let alone cares about. She’s a gold digger of the ultimate kind."
Someone else noted, "The Royal household needs to step in."
A viewer remarked, "She is so needy and it's all about her, why read out something like that? Mememe all the time and she's so tacky still using HRH, it means nothing in the States and she shouldn't use it, jeez, she just never knows how to behave."
One comment read, "Why is anyone surprised. She has proved her true character over the past six years. She will stoop to anything for publicity including using a 'title' when sending a gift to a 'friend', which is then posted on social media, with her blessing."
Another observed, "Her desperation to succeed is that she will use her ridiculous title to try to be relevant since everything she tries fails. Once Prince William becomes King, hopefully he will "swipe" those titles from them once and for all."
An individual remarked, "What a vile narcissistic woman, Wake up Charles!! , remove all titles."
Meghan Markle shares heartfelt glimpses into family life
Stayed up way past my bed time to watch this beautiful interview of Meghan by Jamie Kern Lima. I couldn’t have chosen a better interviewer for her. It’s so authentic and emotive and a “must-watch”.

In her appearance on 'The Jamie Kern Lima Show', Meghan Markle opened up about life post-royalty, sharing touching insights into her family life with Prince Harry and their children, Archie, five, and Lilibet, three.
Markle revealed she’s been sending daily emails to Archie and Lilibet, creating a heartfelt "time capsule" for them to read when they’re older.
In one emotional moment, Markle read aloud a note she had recently received: "From Archie and Lili via Papa. We love your cooking. We love your pancakes and we love, love, love your hugs. You're the best mummy and we love you."

Holding back tears, Markle reflected: "So sweet. I also love that it's mummy, instead of mommy, which is very British."
She added, "I wasn't expecting this, they're just so great. This is why it's so nice to have no make up on, thank you."
During the episode, Markle also discussed her relationship with Harry, describing it as stronger than ever.
In what some interpreted as a thinly veiled jab at their early struggles within the royal fold, she said: "You have to imagine, at the beginning it's all butterflies - but then we immediately went into the trenches together."
She continued: "Right out of the gate, like six months into dating. So now seven years later, when you have a little bit of breathing space, you can just enjoy each other in a new way. And that's why I feel like it's more of a honeymoon period for us now."
