LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Meghan Markle's estranged brother Thomas Markle Jr has blasted her after watching her new show ‘With Love, Meghan’, which began streaming on Netflix on March 4, Tuesday.

He called her out for cooking “malarkey stories” about her childhood and also claimed to feel “sorry and embarrassed for her” for the first time, as reported by the Daily Mail.

Speaking with journalist Kevin O’Sullivan in an interview that aired on TalkTV, he also revealed that he did not let their father Thomas Markle Sr watch Meghan's show: "I didn't have enough heart medication for him to watch it.”

“I didn’t want him to kick the bucket, so I’d have to go refill the prescription before I let him watch it,” he added.

Thomas Markle Jr slams Meghan Markle, asserts they ‘weren’t poor’

In the second episode of her show, the Duchess of Sussex tells the audience that she was a “latchkey kid” who “grew up with a lot of fast food and TV tray dinners”.

A few years back, she reportedly claimed that she "grew up on the $4.99 salad bar at Sizzler”. She even wrote that she came from a poor family in a letter to US politicians to consider her plea for paid leave for parents.

But Thomas has slammed her claims. He said, “That’s just another one of the malarkey stories she sold to the royal family for sympathy. We weren’t poor. She didn’t have to rub two nickels together at Sizzler’s salad bar.”

“The entire world knows how she treated her family, especially her father, who gave her everything. That’s why nobody’s buying it,” he added.

Thomas Markle Jr rips into Meghan Markle's Netflix show

Earlier, reports revealed that Meghan Markle attended Hollywood's private Little Red Schoolhouse. Stars like Elizabeth Taylor and Judy Garland have also studied from the same school.

The mother-of-two even went to Immaculate Heart Catholic School, one of the best schools of Los Angeles, after her father won $750,000 in a lottery when she was nine.

Commenting on his sister’s eight-part Netflix series, Thomas told O’Sullivan, “Everybody’s going to watch the first episode, and it’ll be the worst critically acclaimed episode of all time.”

“Then, five or six minutes into the second, they’ll probably commit themselves to a psychiatric ward,” he added.

However, this was not the first time Thomas Markle Jr lashed out against Meghan Markle. The half-brother of the former 'Suits' actress did not want Prince Harry to marry her and had even sent a letter to him ahead of their wedding in May 2018.

He reportedly wrote, “As more time passes to your royal wedding, it becomes very clear that this is the biggest mistake in royal wedding history.”

“Meghan Markle is obviously not the right woman for you. I'm confused why you don't see the real Meghan that the whole world now sees,” the 58-year-old added.
