Megyn Kelly blasts Taylor Swift for endorsing Tim Walz's stance on LGBTQ+ rights
KANSAS CITY, MISSOURI: Megyn Kelly unleashed a scathing critique of Taylor Swift, targeting her political endorsements and their implications, while attending an event with Tucker Carlson in Kansas City, Missouri on Friday, September 13.
The conservative commentator did not hold back as she launched a vehement attack on the pop star's support for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz, accusing them of endorsing policies she deems harmful and radical.
Taylor Swift praised Kamala Harris for picking Tim Walz as her running mate
Taylor Swift endorsed Kamala Harris after her fiery debate against Donald Trump. The pop star signed the endorsement with "Childless Cat Lady," a sharp retort to the GOP nominee's running mate JD Vance's past remarks about childless women who support the Democratic Party.
Her announcement also included a declaration of support for Tim Walz’s LGBTQ+ policies, which, according to Kelly, are deeply troubling, as per The Gateway Pundit.

The 'Lover' singer wrote, "I’m voting for Kamala Harris because she fights for the rights and causes I believe need a warrior to champion them. I think she is a steady-handed, gifted leader and I believe we can accomplish so much more in this country if we are led by calm and not chaos. "
Praising Walz, she added, "I was so heartened and impressed by her selection of running mate @timwalz, who has been standing up for LGBTQ+ rights, IVF, and a woman’s right to her own body for decades."
This was enough to set Kelly off.
Megyn Kelly criticizes Taylor Swift for praising Tim Walz's stance on LGBTQ+ rights
Megyn Kelly expressed her disdain for the pop star with a blunt, "Screw you, Taylor Swift! That’s how I would like to begin." 'The Megyn Kelly Show' host also accused Taylor Swift of "alienating at least half of her fanbase" by publicly endorsing Kamala Harris for president.
She went on to attack the Minnesota governor's LGBTQ+ policies, claiming they enable the state to override parental rights in matters of gender transition for minors.
"Do you know what Tim Walz has done on the LGBTQ front? Here’s what’s gonna happen," noted Kelly, painting a dramatic scenario of a young girl being influenced by online communities to pursue medical procedures such as puberty blockers and sex change surgeries.
In a vivid and contentious description, Kelly illustrated her concerns: "A little girl is going to find herself down a rabbit hole on Reddit. Reddit is gonna tell her she’s actually a boy, and she’s gonna get sucked into this gender cult."
She further described a scenario where the girl, rejected by her parents, would seek legal intervention in Minnesota to obtain these treatments, which Kelly vehemently opposes.
"And she’s gonna say, 'Mom and Dad, I want puberty blockers and cross-sex hormones, which will sterilize her. And they’re gonna say, 'No, you’re a girl.' And she’s gonna say, 'But I want top surgery, this benign thing, this double mastectomy, where I’ll have tubes coming out of me, and I’ll never breastfeed a child. I want that too," added the former Fox News host.
Megyn Kelly claims Tim Walz's LGBTQ+ policies enable the state to control minors' medical decisions
Additionally, Megyn Kelly accused Tim Walz's policies of stripping parents of their rights and allowing state authorities to make irreversible decisions about a child's body.
"And they’re gonna go to a judge in Minnesota, and because of Tim Walz, the court will take custody of her, use the Medicaid funds in Minnesota to provide her all of those things, chop off her breasts, sterilize her with the puberty blockers and the cross-sex hormones," claimed the conservative commentator.
She argued that this approach neglects the potential regret and harm that might follow these interventions.
Kelly further stated, "And when this girl inevitably comes to the conclusion that she didn’t want any of this, that it only added to her problems, which were the divorce and the acne and the puberty and not any trans issue, who is she going to go to then? This is all because of Tim Walz."
She concluded with a sharp rebuke directed at the pop star. "And that’s what Taylor Swift just endorsed for your children, so screw you, Taylor Swift!" declared Kelly, encapsulating her frustration and disapproval of Swift's political choices.
Carlson expressed his gratitude for her candid remarks, saying, "Thank you for saying that."
