Megyn Kelly faces backlash for saying Renee Nicole Good 'deserved' to be shot by ICE agent
MINNEAPOLIS, MINNESOTA: Megyn Kelly is catching heat after she went to bat for an ICE agent who fatally shot a Minnesota mom.
The conservative host of 'The Megyn Kelly Show' reshared an X (formerly Twitter) post showing cellphone footage reportedly taken by ICE agent Jonathan Ross, who shot and killed 37-year-old Renee Nicole Good in Minneapolis. Kelly commented, “You can literally hear the alarm in the officer’s exclamation as he’s hit.”
Anti-woke journalist Claire Lehmann, once praised by CBS News' editor-in-chief Bari Weiss as part of the “intellectual dark web," pushed back by saying Good "didn’t deserve to be shot in the face."
“Yes, she did. She hit and almost ran over a cop,” Kelly fired back on X.
Internet puts Megyn Kelly on blast
Kelly faced a swift backlash for her comment. Critics blasted her for what they deemed a lack of empathy, especially toward a mother killed just after dropping off her child at school.
One commenter called her “just outright evil.” Another labeled Kelly “irredeemable, unchristian, and un-American.”
“Oh my god, is he ok? his pants were grazed, do they need to be laundered? stop simping for fascists,” someone else added with sarcasm.
“How exactly does shooting her in the face stop her from running him over, if that's what you think she was trying to do?” a person asked.
Another warned Kelly her words would come back to haunt her. “I hope everyone remembers this post next time Megan’s look some sympathy," they said.
Like what the hell happened to you? Just outright evil. Maybe you were always that way.

You’re irredeemable, unchristian, and un-American. One day, your trial won’t have nearly as many views as others, but I’ll tune in. What happens between you and God after that will comically surprise you, but not anyone else.

Kelly has insisted the ICE officer’s “exclamation” proves he was struck by the vehicle, but other footage paints a murkier picture.
The video, reportedly recorded by Ross himself, cuts away from the vehicle just as Good begins to drive. Gunshots and startled noises are heard, but the shooting itself is not shown. After the gun goes off, someone is also heard muttering “f**king b***h.”

Megyn Kelly slams 'woke' liberals after shooting
Kelly went all-in on the Friday, January 9, episode of her podcast, slamming the left for being outraged over Good’s death. She ranted that liberals were being “woke” and “giving pronouns” after the Minneapolis shooting.
“They’re talking about how he, this cop, should have discerned that the tires were turned a certain way and therefore the car wasn’t going to actually run over him even though it had hit him in Minneapolis,” the former Fox News host said. “I mean, truly, it’s insane, and it’s spreading, and we have so many examples of leftist madness now in response to ICE and in Portland Customs and Border Patrol.”
She also called for more ICE agents to “flood the field” in order to “make clear to these people that they have no right to interfere with federal law enforcement trying to clean out their neighborhoods of murderers and child molesters.”
“Get out of the way,” she added.
Kelly went on to praise President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance for backing Ross and attacking the media.
