According to Daily Mail, the move surprised many as Melania had once shared her frustration with getting the White House in the festive spirit back in 2018.

Melania Trump shared the link to the business venture in a post on X (formerly Twitter), writing, "To all of my passionate collectors, I am thrilled to unveil 2024’s Limited Edition Ornament series, 'Merry Christmas, AMERICA!'"

"Each unique piece captures the magic of the holiday season. Let these ornaments inspire cherished memories & bring warmth to your entire family. Happy collecting!" continued the message.

The line has four ornaments named "USA Star", "Vote Liberty", "Let It Snow", and "Love & Freedom". The ornaments are priced between $75 and $90.

Melania Trump's earlier takes on Christmas

While staying in the White House during her husband Donald Trump's presidency, Melania was recorded venting in 2018, "You know, who gives a f**k about Christmas stuff and decoration?"

The same year, she decorated the East Colonnade with 40 bold blood-red trees and draped 14,000 red ornaments throughout the White House. While her office explained that the red stood for "valor and bravery," the decor faced public backlash and earned the nickname "murder trees".

People on the internet took to X to troll Melania Trump for launching a business venture for an occasion that she was reportedly frustrated with in the past. They accused the former first lady of being a "grifter."

"What a pathetic grifter. Maybe, she doesn't know that historically ex-first ladies never used their position to grift," wrote one X user.

"Hey Mel, We know how much you love Christmas," said another while sharing the audio clip of Melania slamming the occasion.

"My grift-o-meter is red lined. I have never seen a reading this high!" said one person. 

"Make that $$$$!!! All the Trump family cares about," added another.

"Grift is almost up... when are you selling the Halloween Christmas Trees?" asked one individual.

"You are always trying to sell something. Damn girl. Trump has you out here on the track to pay his legal bills," remarked another.
