WASHINGTON, DC: The former advisor of Melania Trump has made some astonishing claims about the former model and her relationship with Donald Trump in a social media post.

The former first couple became well-known after their appearance on 'The Apprentice.' However, according to Stephanie Winston Wolkoff, their "perfect marriage" was just for show on TV, as reported by the Daily Mail.

Stephanie Winston Wolkoff claims ‘The Apprentice’ led Trump to the White House

Referring to the television series, Wolkoff posted a clip and wrote, “Many may think ‘DADDY’S HOME’ is a Father’s Day video. Nope! Millions of Americans watched The Apprentice. Donald was a household name.”

She continued, “He needed a woman who looked & played the part & let him be the star. Marrying Melania & making her a Vogue Cover model —legitimized them both.

“What catapulted Donald J Trump ‘businessman’ and his ‘supermodel’ wife to the White House was a MIRAGE created by Survivor producer Mark Burnett and NBC boss Jeff Zucker,” Wolkoff added.

“Editor in chief of Variety & NYT bestselling author @RaminSetoodeh chronicles the definitive untold story of Trump’s years as a reality TV star & how Trump himself admits he might not have been president without The Apprentice,” she stated.

Internet reacts to Stephanie Winston Wolkoff's remark about Melania and Donald Trump

Many people reacted to Wolkoff’s claim as an X user tweeted, “IT has been smoke and mirrors the whole time w him. Apprentice made people think he was a successful businessman…”

Another user wrote, “This is the character many thought they were voting for in 2016, a smart, successful businessman. We now know (some knew then) that was pure fiction. Thanks to a few courageous people (mostly women) like Stephanie who spoke out. If only our GOP leaders had the same courage.”

“Wonder if this was coming back from ‘date night’ with Karen or Stormy,” one remarked.

“I’ve said this for years. The Apprentice gave Americans a false story of Trump. It was the opposite of reality,” a user shared. [sic]

“Could this be any more cheesy? The Apprentice was a con job from beginning to end,” Another user mentioned.

Also, a reader below an article reportedly commented, “Oh come on, let us not be naive here. She married Trump for his money, and he married her because he wanted a ‘Trophy Wife’ (25 years younger than him) to show off at his country clubs. And of course, Trump would need a woman who would ‘let him be the star.' Trump's raging narcissism and outrageous egomania wouldn't tolerate anyone ‘stealing the spotlight’ from him.”

Another reader added, “That video was highly entertaining!  Melanoma looked like she wished she was somewhere else.  And Dump actually getting out of a car???  Except for golf carts, he doesn't know how to drive!  (I wonder how many takes they had to do while Dump tried to figure out how to open the car door...because he's used to having someone open it for him...).” [sic]
