MANHATTAN, NEW YORK: Michael Cohen, former lawyer to Donald Trump, unveiled the details of the former president's alleged mindset when Stormy Daniels' affair story surfaced during the 2016 presidential campaign.
On Monday, May 13, the disgraced lawyer took the stand in a hush money trial to testify against Trump who faces 34 counts of allegedly falsifying business records to conceal payments to Daniels to silence their alleged affair ahead of the election.

Cohen claimed that Trump, who sought to suppress allegations of the affair, told him, "Don’t worry, he goes how long do you think I’ll be on the market for? Not long."
"He wasn’t thinking about Melania. This was all about the campaign," he added.
As Cohen mentioned Melania Trump during his testimony, Trump appeared to shake his head and smirked, according to CNN.

Trump, who is currently facing trial at Manhattan Criminal Court, previously pleaded not guilty to the charges in the hush money deal and denied an affair with Daniels.
During his testimony, Cohen claimed that the 77-year-old politician asked him to speak with the National Enquirer editor to "get control" of Daniels' affair story to safeguard his presidential ambitions.
The former lawyer claimed that Trump was furious at him when he learned that the adult film star was shopping her story with the media.

Cohen testified that after Daniels' story surfaced, he told the then-personal attorney that it was a "total disaster" and to "just take care of it."
He highlighted that Trump got furious at him as he reportedly told him, "I thought you had this under control."
"Guys may think its cool, but this is going to be a disaster for the campaign," the disgraced lawyer claimed the former president told him, The New York Times.
