Trace Cyrus says Katy Perry copied Miley Cyrus' haircut and made it 'exactly the same'
In an April 18 Instagram video, Trace Cyrus reflected on Miley Cyrus’ viral pixie cut from 2012 and suggested that Katy Perry later copied the look without originality.
"I first knew Katy Perry and her team were lame as f*** when her career was first dying," he said in the shirtless video.

He added, "And they were like, 'Hmm, what can we do? Well, what worked for Miley? She cut her hair off, and it broke the internet, and everybody freaked out, and she bleached it blonde. We should do that with you, Katy!"' as reported by the Daily Mail.
Trace then mocked a made-up conversation between Katy and her team, adding, "'We should do that with you, Katy.' Katy’s like, 'Yeah, yeah, we should. Should we do it? Like, slightly different? No, we’re gonna do it exactly the same.'"

Perry debuted a platinum blonde pixie cut in 2017 before returning to black hair in 2021.
Trace Cyrus claims Katy Perry mimicked Miley Cyrus' career path
Trace Cyrus went further, comparing Katy Perry’s musical direction to Miley Cyrus', pointing out her collaborations in the hip-hop genre.
"Miley started working with Mike WiLL Made-It, Wiz Khalifa, Juicy J — remember 'J’s on my feet?'" said Trace, referencing Miley's 2013 hit. "Katy started to transition doing more hip-hop stuff," he added, E News! reported.
He continued by joking about another imaginary conversation, saying, "'We’re gonna get you in with the hottest group, the Migos. You’re gonna do exactly what the f***k Miley did and blow up.'"
Trace Cyrus says Katy Perry's space trip 'backfired'
The musician didn’t stop there, poking fun at Katy Perry’s journey to the edge of space with aerospace company Blue Origin.
"Guess what? It didn’t f****g work. And then they just tried some EDM song or some s**t because EDM is hot. Didn’t f*****g work. Now we’re gonna send your a** to space. Didn’t f*****g work. It’s not working. It’s backfiring. Stop," Trace said.
The video came just days after Perry joined Jeff Bezos' fiancee Lauren Sanchez, Gayle King, and others on the first all-female spaceflight in over 60 years.
