LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Miranda Lambert continues to make revenue from her previous marriage to Blake Shelton as she still intends to find innovative ways to share stories about their relationship, sources revealed to In Touch Weekly.

Despite being married to former New York Police Department police officer Brendan McLoughlin, 32, Lambert reportedly continues to compose songs that refer to her failed marriage to Shelton.

Miranda Lambert addresses traumatic breakup with Blake Shelton in new song

Miranda Lambert, 40, recently released the album 'Postcards From Texas', which has many tracks that friends believe speak about her traumatic breakup with Blake Shelton, 48.

Lambert reportedly focuses on her role in their divorce in her single, 'Run' and listeners might be shocked to hear that the lyrics address the lessons she learned following their split.

The lyrics read, "Oh this freedom I found, babe, sure wasn’t free / I owe you a lifetime of apologies / I’m tellin’ the truth now / I loved you so much / I’m sorry for lyin’ about who I was."

The 'Mama's Broken Heart' singer acknowledged that the songs are autobiographical, but she subtly declined to reveal whom they are about.

"I signed up to tell the truth. And I just feel like it’s important to — good, bad and ugly — tell your story," Lambert said.

However, Lambert's songs appear to present her once-hated ex-husband in a positive light, even though they bitterly divorced in 2015 after four years of marriage.

Lambert got through those difficult moments and realized that their marriage failure was not only the fault of one person. The source told In Touch, "Miranda is older and wiser now and she no longer lays all the blame at Blake’s feet."

"Now it still gives her fodder for writing hit songs!" they added.

Miranda Lambert revealed Brendan McLoughlin persuaded her to record 'Run'

The 'Postcards from Texas' artist talked to Variety in September about her new single 'Run' and how her husband McLoughlin persuaded her to record it, although listeners believe it's only about Shelton.

She said at the time, "You know, I just wasn’t ready to cut this song yet. Because I’ve done those kind of songs my whole career, but they aren’t ever a very comfortable place to be… I promised to tell the truth when I started this journey, and that’s what I’m doing."

Lambert admitted that some of her best songs were inspired by her past relationships, even if she noted that it was somewhat awkward to be so open about them and how she's moved on from them.

She added, "For my fans that stay with me, I promised myself to tell my real, honest stories and real, honest truth. I promised myself and them that I would do that, and so I can’t back out of that now."

"And also, some of the greatest songs in the world that I’ve loved the most in the whole world wouldn’t exist," Lambert said.

Lambert has moved on from Shelton and is content to look to the future with McLoughlin, while her ex-husband is currently married to pop diva Gwen Stefani, 55.

Lambert is the bicoastal equivalent of hardcore country music, having residences in both Nashville and Austin. With her recently released tenth album, 'Postcards From Texas', one of those locations is given slightly more attention than the other.
