LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: The team at MSNBC's 'Morning Joe' recently unveiled a compelling montage showcasing former President Donald Trump's dramatic flip-flop on the Affordable Care Act, commonly known as Obamacare.

Trump, who has previously been vocal about his intention to dismantle the healthcare program, now claims otherwise.

'Morning Joe' unveils Trump's Obamacare contradictions

In a recent video shared on Truth Social, Trump asserted, "I'm not running to terminate the ACA," countering accusations from opponent Joe Biden. Instead, he outlined broader priorities including border security, tackling inflation, boosting the economy, and strengthening the military, per Mediaite.

Trump even expressed a desire to improve Obamacare, emphasizing its current costliness and inadequacy.

“I’m running to close the border, stop inflation, make our economy great, strengthen our military, and make the ACA or Obamacare as it’s sometimes known. Much better, stronger, and far less expensive because it’s much too expensive now and it’s not very good.”

However, 'Morning Joe' wasn't convinced by this sudden change of heart. They aired a damning compilation of Trump's past statements directly contradicting his current stance. From promises to "knock the hell out of Obamacare" to assertions of "decimating" it, Trump's past rhetoric was staunchly opposed to the program's existence, the video showed.

Trump's past pledges to dismantle Obamacare exposed

The montage featured Trump vowing to "get rid of Obamacare," labeling it as "defective" and underscoring the need to "terminate" it due to its perceived shortcomings. He even lamented instances where efforts to dismantle Obamacare were thwarted, such as John McCain's pivotal vote against its repeal.

"We’re going to create great health care. We’re going to get rid of Obamacare. We’re going to terminate it," Trump boldly proclaimed in one clip.

"We’re going to win by knocking the hell out of Obamacare, terminating it," he added.

In another, he declared, "With Obamacare. Getting back to the boring subject. It’s almost a waste of time talking about it because when we terminate it, all we’ll do is say it was a bad experience for the American people."

"We want to terminate Obamacare because it’s bad. Look, we’re running it really well, but we know it’s defective," Trump asserted in yet another clip, echoing sentiments expressed throughout his presidency.
