Natalie Portman 'hopes' ex Benjamin Millepied 'is happy' after moving on

According to US Magazine, an insider shared Natalie Portman’s reaction to seeing pictures of Benjamin Millepied kissing an unknown woman, explaining, “Natalie isn’t surprised that Benjamin has moved on because of how their relationship ended,” adding, “She thought he’d move on pretty quickly.”

The source also noted that Natalie wishes him well. “She hopes Benjamin is happy, and his dating life doesn’t really have any bearing on Natalie,” they revealed.

Friends helped Natalie Portman get through 'really tough' divorce

Last year, French publication Voici reported that Benjamin Millepied allegedly had an affair with 25-year-old climate activist Camille Etienne.

As per Daily Mail reports, a friend shared that, while the early days of Natalie Portman's separation were "initially really tough," her supportive friends "helped her get through the worst of it."

According to the friend, Portman is now on "the other side" of a challenging year and feeling "stronger." She’s been "finding joy in her family, friends, and work."

The friend added that Portman’s "biggest priority has been ensuring a smooth transition for her children."

On another note, Ok Magazine reported, she was “humiliated and utterly crushed by Millepied's behavior,” noting Portman “didn’t give up on [her marriage] lightly.”

A lot of circumstances added to their split but were “being very civil toward each other for the kids."

The couple had two children together, 13-year-old Aleph and seven-year-old Amalia.

Encounter with Rihanna helped Natalie Portman through divorce

Following her split, Natalie Portman has been enjoying supportive moments from friends, and even a memorable encounter with Rihanna, which she described as “formative.”

In a July 2024 appearance on 'The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon', Portman shared how meeting Rihanna gave her a boost when she needed it most.

In January 2024, at the Dior Haute Couture show during Paris Fashion Week, Portman ran into Rihanna, who expressed her admiration for the actress.

“You are one of the hottest b*****s in Hollywood forever,” Rihanna told Portman, a compliment that left Portman thrilled.

“Are you kidding me?” she responded with a smile, telling Fallon the moment was a highlight of her year.

The exchange, captured by photographer Stephane Feugere, showed Portman's genuine excitement, as she responded, “I’m going to faint. I love you and listen to your music all the time. You’re such a queen.”

Rihanna responded playfully, suggesting, “Can somebody take a picture? So I remember this happened tomorrow.” Portman eagerly agreed, cementing a fun, unforgettable exchange between the two stars.

Rihanna’s heartfelt praise—“I don’t get excited to meet anybody, but I love you!”—gave Portman the confidence boost she needed during a challenging period, a testament to the powerful support friends can offer after a major life change.
