WASHINGTON, DC: Far-right political commentator Nick Fuentes launched into a tirade against former President and GOP nominee Donald Trump for publicly admitting his defeat in the 2020 general election, on Wednesday, September 4.

Trump and his MAGA supporters had refused to accept the fact over the last four years and consistently accused the Democrats of 'stealing' the election. The rhetoric he promoted led to the Capitol Riot of January 6, 2021.

Donald Trump's acknowledgement of election loss

The admission by the former president came during his interview with podcaster Lex Fridman, which was released on Tuesday, September 3.

Fridman asked Trump about his expectations surrounding the upcoming debate against the Democratic nominee Kamala Harris, when he said, "I've done a lot of debating ... I've done well with debates. I became president. Then the second time I got millions more votes than I got the first time."

"I was told if I got 63 million, which is what I got the first time, 'You would win. You can't not win.' And I got millions more votes than that and lost by a whisker," he added.

According to NBC News, Trump received 74 million votes in 2020, while incumbent Joe Biden 81 got million.

Nick Fuentes' complaint against Donald Trump

Nick Fuentes, who has been described as a "Hitler–loving racist, misogynistic, antisemitic, homophobic Christian nationalist fascist" by the Right Wing Watch, was furious with Trump for publicly accepting his defeat, as it validated the Democrats' claim that he and his supporters intentionally wished to 'overturn' the election results.

He labeled the MAGA movement as "sold-out" and "pathetic," stating that Trump admitting to his 2020 defeat "vindicated" the Department of Justice for charging him with election interference.

"So why did we do 'Stop the Steal?' Why did anyone go to January 6? Why is anyone sitting in jail? Why did anything bad happen to anybody?" asked Fuentes.

According to ABC News, more than 1,200 people were charged in relation to the protests on January 6. Over 718 pleaded guilty, and more than 460 have been incarcerated.

"It would have been good to know that (Trump lost) before I had all my money frozen, put on a no-flying list, banned from everything, lost all banking and payment processing," Fuentes charged, adding, "Just feels like a big rip-off."

Internet mocks Nick Fuentes over his complaint

Netizens reacting to Fuentes' rant on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter) mocked the podcaster for finally realizing that Trump had duped him and others with his baseless claim of 'stolen' election. The following tweets demonstrate the prevalent take.

"I thought they were just pretending to not know he was lying to them.. They ACTUALLY believe this man?" wrote a user.

"Nobody to blame but your stupid selves for believing Trump's lies," shared another.

"It’s like Nick Fuentes’ last pair of neurons fired and he was granted a brief moment of lucidity," quipped a third.

"He did know it. He just chose to not believe it because a grifter told him so," jibed a fourth.

"Play stupid games. Win stupid prizes," trolled a fifth.
