Nicki Minaj arrested at Amsterdam airport for allegedly 'carrying drugs' leaves fans furious
AMSTERDAM, NETHERLANDS: Nicki Minaj was allegedly arrested for carrying drugs in Amsterdam.
On Saturday, May 25, the rapper was on her Instagram Live and later posted a video in which officers wanted to take her into custody.
“I’m not going in there. I need a lawyer present,” she said in the clip. The 12-time Grammy winner was seen talking with the officials over her apparent arrest.
Nicki Minaj was en route to Manchester for her concert
The authority mentioned her Saturday night concert in Manchester, England, and said they would “try to get [her] there” at the earliest.
The ‘Bang Bank’ rapper told the officer "I'm not carrying drugs."
"I need a lawyer present. no, I need a lawyer present now," Minaj said when she was asked to get in a police vehicle, reported New York Post.
"We'll get (you to) next show," the official said, to which Minaj responded, "You're talking about my show? What about it?" as per an apparent Instagram Live posted from the rapper's page.

Amsterdam Police says they can't 'confirm anything' over Nicki Minaj's arrest over drugs
"We cannot provide information on persons older than 18 years. This is because of the data privacy law. Therefore, we cannot confirm anything," Amsterdam Police said, per USA Today.
Nicki Minaj slammed Amsterdam authorities over her Instagram and took X (formerly Twitter) to post a series of tweets.
“They've been trying everything they can to TRY to stop this tour," she said of the airport police.
"They took my luggage & when I asked where it is they said it's on the plane. It couldn't have been, I just pulled up," Minaj added. “This is how they plant things on your luggage."
The ‘Anaconda’ rapper was on her Pink Friday 2 World Tour, and en route to Manchester, when she was stopped.
