Nicolas Cage’s son Weston announces fourth engagement amid allegations of assaulting his mother

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Weston Cage Coppola, the 34-year-old son of Hollywood star Nicholas Cage, announced his engagement to girlfriend Jenifer Alexa Canter on Friday, March 7, reported Page Six.

As per the publication, this is Weston's fourth reported engagement and comes at a time when he is being sued by his mother, Christina Fulton, for physical assault.

Weston was married to Nikki Williams for a year in 2011, Danielle Cage between 2013 and 2016, and Hila Cage Coppola from 2018 to 2024. He shares two sons, Lucian and Sorin, with Danielle, and twin girls, Venice Zohar and Cyress Zara, with Hila.

In a statement shared with the publication, Weston Cage stated of his fiancee, "Jenifer is my first love, my only love and my last. We were born in the same hospital, and I’ve loved her since I was a teenager. She is the love of my life, and I am committed to her forever."

He credited her for helping him overcome addiction, saying, "I am so happy now that my sobriety isn’t even a struggle. I can’t imagine returning to the active addiction, as I now have all that I have ever wanted. Thank God I don’t have to pretend to be happy anymore.”

Taking to the social media platform Instagram the previous day, Weston expressed a similar sentiment, writing in the caption addressing Jenifer, "I love you more than any man has ever loved in the history of humanity. That astronomically immeasurable love multiplies in every second.”

“You saved my life because I was born for you and I truly can’t wait to change the world with you. Our mystical and spiritual connection and knowledges combined is so uncanny that now my full sobriety is so easy I forgot I had a problem,” he added.

“The way it was always supposed to be shall always be and I love you galaxies above human love. You get the greatest version of me and that shall exist within my art as well. I can’t wait to release all my love songs to you.”

He had opened up about dating Jenifer five months ahead of the engagement, posting on Instagram that she was his "twin flame."

Weston Cage, a mixed martial artist, allegedly assaulted his 57-year-old mother in April 2024, leaving her with a black eye and multiple bruises on her face. Fulton went on to sue him for assault, battery, intentional infliction of emotional distress, and negligent infliction of emotional distress.

As a result, Weston was arrested in July of the same year. His lawyer, Michael A Goldstein, claimed the lawsuit was “nothing short of a money grab and call for attention.”

Fulton had also sued Weston's father, Nicholas, 61, for enabling his son and ignoring his mental health struggles. His lawyer responded to the allegation, stating, "Weston Coppola is a 34-year-old man. Mr Cage does not control Weston’s behavior in any manner and is not responsible for Weston’s alleged assault of his mother.”

Upon hearing the news of Weston's fourth engagement, Fulton told TMZ, "I hope his mental health is being addressed first and foremost. At the end of the day he’s my son, I want the best for him, however my pain and suffering this past year as his mother will never go away."
