Nicole Kidman determined to reconcile with estranged children with Tom Cruise due to heartbreaking reason
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Hollywood star Nicole Kidman is determined to reconcile with her two children whom she shares with her ex-husband Tom Cruise following the death of her mother, the Daily Mail reported.
Kidman and Cruise adopted Isabella, 31, and Connor, 29, in the early 1990s. Following their split in 2001, the children decided to stay with their father, and have not been seen with Kidman in public since 2007.
Alongside them, Kidman has two more daughters, Sunday, 16, and Faith, 13, whom she shares with her current husband, Keith Urban.
Nicole Kidman wants to reunite with her eldest children
Oscar winner Nicole Kidman, 57, lost her mother Janelle in September and was devastated that she did not get a chance to reconnect with her grandchildren, a family friend told New Idea magazine.
“Janelle’s death has left a huge gap in Nicole’s heart, so it’s only natural she’d be seeking some kind of solution,” said the friend.
"Losing her mum has made Nicole not want to waste any more time. It hurt Janelle that she and husband Antony were estranged from (Isabella and Connor)," shared the source.
"They were their first two grandchildren and were once very close. It was a deep regret that they were unable to see her in person before she died."
According to the source, "Nicole is wrongly taking responsibility for that" and the regret was fuelling the 'Cold Mountain' actress' "need for a proper reconciliation".
Isabella and Connor have remained close to their father and were raised as Scientologists. They prefer to keep their lives private and rarely make public appearances.
Kidman had previously talked about her two older children, describing her relationship with them, “They are able to make their own decisions. They have made choices to be Scientologists and as a mother, it’s my job to love them."
Internet blames Tom Cruise and Scientology for keeping Isabella and Connor away from Nicole Kidman
Netizens reacting to the news on the Daily Mail website sympathized with Nicole Kidman and blamed her ex-husband, Tom Cruise, and Scientology for her estrangement from her adopted children. The following examples demonstrate the takes.
"Those two children with Tom Cruises are so deeply ingrained with Scientology, that they will probably never reconcile with their mother," wrote a person.
"Can't imagine the heartache of losing children after divorcing. Regardless of religious affiliation, she is their mother," shared another.
"They are brainwashed by cruise and the church. She might as well forget it," stated a third.
"They have been brainwashed! I blame Cruise for that," slammed another.
"Something pretty big must have gone down for the children not to stay in touch with both their adopted mother and grandparents," remarked one user.
