Nicole Kidman ‘overjoyed’ as daughters try to reunite with estranged children she adopted with Tom Cruise
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Nicole Kidman has been manifesting as well as trying for long to get her family together. However, now her daughters Bella Cruise and Sunday Rose Kidman-Urban have taken steps to make her dream come true.
The 57-year-old actress is the mother of four children. She shares 31-year-old Bella and Connor Cruise, 29, with her ex-husband Tom Cruise, whom she divorced in 2001.
The ‘Big Little Lies’ star married Keith Urban in 2006 and went on to become the mother of Sunday Rose Kidman Urban, who is now 16, and the 13-year-old Faith Margaret Kidman Urban.
Kidman and Cruise had adopted both Bella and Connor. But eventually, Kidman reportedly grew distant from them after her divorce. Reports said she has not been seen with them in 16 years.
However, it seems things are going to change as the ‘Eyes Wide Shut’ actress’ eldest child went on to support her half-sister Sunday Rose at her first runway walk at the Miu Miu Spring/Summer 2025.
Nicole Kidman’s ‘proud’ of daughters Bella and Sunday
A source recently revealed to Radar Online, “It's an open secret that Nicole has been quietly working behind the scenes towards this for a very long time. She was trying to put together a plan last year for a get-together in the UK, but it didn't work out.”
“To have Bella and Sunday take the baton and put this in motion is a dream come true and she couldn't be prouder of them,” they asserted.
The insider went on to share that Bella going to Sunday’s show means a lot to their mother.
“It's not something Nicole talks about but, of course, there have been whispers for years about the state of her relationship with Connor and Bella,” they stated.
The source added, “Nicole is always quick to insist they're fine but there's no doubt she's been longing to have more involvement in both Bella and Connor's lives. To have Bella show this public support for Sunday Rose speaks volumes. It's a huge step and Nicole is overjoyed.”
Janelle Kidman was daughter Nicole’s ‘compass’
This came as Kidman, who will soon be seen in Halina Reijn’s directorial thriller ‘Babygirl’, has disclosed her wish to work with the renowned filmmaker Martin Charles Scorsese.
In an interview with Vanity Fair, she said, “I’ve always said I want to work with Scorsese if he does a film with women,” as per The Guardian.
During the same interview, Kidman also remembered her late mother, Janelle Kidman, who died in September.
The ‘A Family Affair’ actress said, as per PEOPLE, “She was my compass in a way. It’s like losing that, but at the same time going, Okay, well, this is for her then.”
“So much of what she wanted for my sister and I was to create women in this world who felt like they could express themselves and have opportunities, especially things she didn’t have from her generation,” Kidman added.
