Nicole Kidman reveals she developed terrifying medical condition after birth of daughter Sunday Rose

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Nicole Kidman has revealed a deeply personal and distressing experience following the birth of her daughter, Sunday Rose, sharing that she was unable to breastfeed and left feeling “terrified” when she realized her milk was not coming in.

The 57-year-old Oscar-winning actress, who shares two daughters with husband Keith Urban, spoke candidly in a recent interview with Time magazine as part of her profile for their Women of the Year series.

Kidman recounted the emotional turmoil she faced after welcoming Sunday Rose in 2008, expressing how unprepared she was for the challenges that followed.

“I was so terrified, asking, ‘What just happened? Where’s my milk?’” Kidman recalled.

“I remember standing naked in the shower, and my sister helped me. She was my source of strength. She’d had five children—she had the wisdom to pass on," she shared.

While she carried Sunday herself, she and Urban welcomed their second daughter, Faith Margaret, via surrogacy in 2010.

Sunday Rose’s modeling debut and online backlash

Sixteen years after her birth, Sunday Rose has stepped into the spotlight herself, making her modeling debut at the Miu Miu runway show during Paris Fashion Week in 2023.

However, her appearance quickly sparked online criticism, with some social media users ridiculing her for her serious expression and runway walk, labeling her another “nepo baby.”

Kidman was reportedly deeply affected by the harsh comments directed at her daughter.

A source close to the family told Daily Mail that the actress was reminded of her own struggles starting out in Hollywood.

“Nicole was the same age as Sunday when she landed her first acting role and she was told back then to try something else,” the insider revealed.

“She understands the criticism, but it also upsets her because she is reminded of the hell she went through when she got her start,” the source added.

Despite the negativity, Kidman and Urban remain steadfast in their support of their daughter.

“Ultimately, Nicole and Keith are so proud of her and they are letting her forge her own path. Her advice to her daughter was the same advice she gives herself—do not read social media," the source added.

Nicole Kidman also shares two grown children, Isabella Cruise, 32, and Connor Cruise, 30, with her ex-husband, Tom Cruise​.
