US targeted ‘powerful and deadly’ organizations
On Christmas, the Department of War, upon Donald Trump’s directive, launched strikes against m****ants linked to I**S in north-western Nigeria.
The president announced the strikes in a Truth Social post, noting that the t*****ists had been “primarily” targeting Christians.
He further warned those indulging in organized violence, noting that there would be many more strikes if the “slaughter of Christians” continued.
The Nigerian Minister of Foreign Affairs Yusuf Maitama Tuggar, also commented on the strike while praising the attacks. He said that Nigeria was focused on protecting innocent lives and the “defeat of t*****ism” through coordinated action.
“This challenge goes beyond borders, and so must the response,” he added.
He further stated that Nigeria’s approach was “firm, collaborative,” and based on the understanding that security in Nigeria was “inseparable from security” across the wider region.
