'Neither will she': Nikki Haley sparks online mockery after predicting Trump won't win general election
COLUMBIA, SOUTH CAROLINA: Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley forecasted that former President Donald Trump would not secure victory in the general election. She foresees a female successor to become the next President of the United States, reported The Hill.
In a conversation with CNN's Jake Tapper on Thursday, February 22, the former UN ambassador claimed, "Donald Trump will not win the general election. You can have him win any primary you want — he will not win a general election. We will have a female president of the United States; it will either be me or it will be [Vice President] Harris."
"But if Donald Trump is the nominee, you can mark my words, he will not win a general election," she asserted.
Haley's prediction came two days before the GOP primary in her home state, South Carolina, where she is trailing behind Trump by more than 30 points.
The Republican presidential primary narrowed to a two-person race between the former President and the former South Carolina Governor after Florida Gov Ron DeSantis exited the race in January.
However, Haley has failed to gain momentum against the GOP frontrunner despite her determination to continue in the race.
Nikki Haley warns voters of their primary choice
Haley reminded the primary voters, including Republicans and Independents, that the country would not get a change if she failed to win the election, as per a Fox News report.
"Don't complain about what happens in a general election if you don't vote that in this primary," she warned the voters.
Labelling Trump and President Joe Biden as the "two most disliked politicians in America," the presidential hopeful stated, "We can do better."
She further doubled down on her stance that most Americans consider the 81-year-old incumbent and the 77-year-old ex-president "too old" to hold the office for a second term.
"We need someone who can work eight years straight of hard work, day and night, fully disciplined with no drama, no vendettas, just results or the American people," Haley said.
Despite losing to Trump in the Iowa caucuses and the New Hampshire primary, the former UN Ambassador decided to continue the uphill task of grabbing the GOP nomination.

"Maybe we can be lead by 'None of these candidates.' We know that's polling better than Haley," said a fourth user, taking a swipe at Haley's loss to 'none of these candidates' at the Nevada GOP primary.
Maybe we can be lead by "None of these candidates." We know that's polling better than Haley.
