WASHINGTON, DC: Former GOP presidential hopeful Nikki Haley has fiercely criticized an anti-Trump political group for using her name to endorse Vice President Kamala Harris in the 2024 election.

The ex-South Carolina governor and former UN ambassador disavowed any ties to the political action committee (PAC) known as 'Haley Voters for Harris', branding their actions as “deceptive and wrong".

Haley condemned the group’s attempts to sway her supporters towards Harris, emphasizing their stark ideological differences.

“Kamala Harris and I are total opposites on every issue,” Haley declared in a statement. “Any attempt to use my name to support her or her agenda is deceptive and wrong. I support Donald Trump because he understands we need to make America strong, safe, and prosperous.”

PAC faces legal action for unlawful use of Nikki Haley's name

The PAC, previously called 'Haley Voters for Biden' before President Joe Biden ended his reelection bid, received a cease-and-desist letter for the alleged “unlawful use of Ambassador Haley’s name".

“Any use by you of Ambassador Haley’s name, image, or likeness is without her permission,” read the letter, obtained by Fox.

“Ambassador Haley has been clear in her support of Harris’ opponent. Any intimation that Ambassador Haley supports Harris is intentionally false and misleading.”

Craig Snyder, director of 'Haley Voters for Harris', dismissed the cease-and-desist letter, defending the group's right to its name.

“We have not yet seen the reported letter and will of course consult with counsel about any legal issues raised, but in common sense terms, this effort to suppress political speech is absurd,” Snyder stated.

“I am a Haley voter. I am for Harris. There are many others who are likeminded. Why shouldn’t we be able to call ourselves what we are while in no way suggesting that Gov Haley supports the Vice President’s candidacy?”

Haley, initially a fierce critic of Donald Trump during her campaign, endorsed the former president in May after ending her White House bid. At the recent Republican convention, Haley spoke passionately in support of Trump, underscoring the importance of unity and the dangers of a Biden or Harris administration.

“President Trump asked me to speak at this convention in the name of unity. It was a gracious invitation, and I was happy to accept,” Haley stated.

“You don’t have to agree with Trump 100% of the time to vote for him. If we have four more years of Biden or a single day of Harris, our country will be badly worse off. For the sake of our nation, we have to go with Donald Trump.”

Internet erupts over Nikki Haley’s disavowal of pro-Harris PAC

Outrage and conspiracy theories flood X (formerly Twitter) as users reacted to Nikki Haley's denouncement of a political group falsely endorsing Kamala Harris in her name.

A social media user tweeted, "She see should sue them."

A second said, "Yah, these people are evil and serious… they tried to assassinate Trump, and took out Biden in the same week… a few more lies about Haley Voters for Harris is child’s play for them."

A third claimed, "See what happens when you use your gender to push an underdog narrative."

"You aren’t opposite in ethnicity though," read a tweet.

"They didn’t make up the words, they used her own words against her," added a user.
