WASHINGTON, DC: In a fiery message that has reignited partisan tensions, Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene accused President Joe Biden of threatening American citizens with F-15 fighter jets.

The controversy stems from a brief video clip circulated by the Republican National Committee, which captured Biden stumbling over his words during an Everytown for Gun Safety event, as reported by The Raw Story.

On Tuesday, Greene took to X (formerly Twitter) to share a brief clip from the Republican National Committee, highlighting Biden’s stuttering remarks at an Everytown for Gun Safety event.

In the video, Biden is seen saying, "If they want to think to take on the government if we get out of line, that they're talking again about, guess what? They need F-15s, they don't need a rifle."

Greene interpreted this as a direct threat, posting, "Joe Biden just threatened American citizens with F-15s. This is why the 2nd Amendment is so vital. This is why we need a red wave this November. This is why we must take back our country."

Greene’s reaction wasn't a first for her. In 2020, she posted a picture of herself holding a gun beside images of Democratic Representatives Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Ilhan Omar, and Rashida Tlaib, claiming the need for "strong conservative Christians" to oppose these "socialists." The post was later deleted.

Biden's recent remarks are not the first of their kind. In 2022, during a speech in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, Biden addressed his crime-prevention plan and support for bolstering US police departments, according to Newsweek.

He also made a pointed comment towards "brave right-wing Americans" who advocate for gun rights, suggesting they would need more than rifles to take on the US government.

In that speech, Biden remarked, "Right now, you can't go on and buy an automatic weapon. You can't go out and buy a cannon. And for those brave, right-wing Americans who say it's all about keeping America, keeping America independent and safe. If you want to fight against a country you need an F-15, something a little bit more than a gun."

These statements gained widespread attention, accumulating over 2 million views across multiple platforms.

Marjorie Taylor Greene's claim about Joe Biden draws flak online

Greene's claims were quickly met with criticism online as social media users were swift and scathing in their responses.

One user on X remarked, "Oh Marge, he’s just mocking your incessant online civil war nonsense. The fact is, when Biden wins re-election all of you posers ain’t gonna do s**t but caterwaul and yell, online. Pffft."

Another commented, "You should really be committed @mtgreenee. If only someone loved you enough to save you from yourself."

"Marge the queen of BS," one user wrote, while another added, "This is one ignorant pos excuse for a looser. This idiot has no clue of reality."

"The clip proves that MTG is lying. President Biden was saying that those who want to overthrow the government need F-15s, not rifles. President Biden is correct, and you're a lousy liar," one user noted.

Another user pointed out, "It's no wonder Margie's own party is sick of her. President Biden was pointing out that her insurrectionist pals couldn't overthrow our government with rifles, they would need F-15 jets. Marge is on a long losing streak, hyperbolic conspiracy speak is all she has."

A user advised, "Retire while you have time." Lastly, a user posted, "Marje does Putin's work."
