LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: 'The View' co-hosts opened up about their concern that people might be more influenced by the anti-Israel protests sweeping across college campuses than the January 6 Capitol insurrection while casting their votes in the upcoming election.

Their sentiments echoed those of MSNBC host Mika Brzezinski, who on the April 30 episode of 'Morning Joe' said that the campus demonstrations and resulting clashes between protesters and law enforcement "look like January 6."

During the Hot Topics segment on Friday, May 3, Sara Haines shared, "We think Biden has a problem with young voters, with a lot of the progressive left and what’s happening in the Middle East," as per the Daily Caller

She continued, "And then I mentioned the other day that I don’t think the headlines and the media optics will help Biden even if his policy is going in the right direction, the optics of chaos and lack of control are problematic … the horror of nightly images they see on TV."

Sunny Hostin picked up the conversation, asking, "Do they not remember the visuals on January 6th? Do they not remember the visuals on January 6th?"

Hained reasoned that anti-Israel protests weigh more on the public's mind because they are more recent. Subsequently, Hostin responded, "January 6 is ingrained in my memory and it should be ingrained in every single person’s memory in the United States of America."

Alyssa Farah Griffin then joined in on the conversation, saying, "It should be, and while they’re completely different, a lot of the imagery looks similar and it was, you are going to see Republicans seeing windows being smashed and things being defaced on college campuses and it evokes that same sense."

Internet reacts to 'The View' co-hosts' remarks regarding the impact of campus protests on voters

One netizen remarked, "The 'mostly peaceful' protesters did more damage to the library at Portland State University yesterday than was done to the Capitol on 1/6 and it will be surprising if any of them will face prosecution."

Another expressed, "Nobody cares about Jan 6th," with a person claiming, "January 6th was a walk in the park compared to all the damage the left has caused during the BLM riots and the take over of the college campus’s. The voting public clearly sees the difference."

One more stated, "The libbies take j6 and relentlessly push to make a mountain out of a molehill. It's become very tedious to hear constantly. Then, when these anti-american protests persist and turn violent, they downplay and excuse it in hopes of sweeping it quickly under the rug."

They added, "If you are unable to see this blatant and glaring hypocrisy then just have another big glass of the kool-aid."

"The rioters did not rip down the American flag and replace it with the flag of a mystical nation on Jan 6," remarked another person.
