LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Before they even met, Taylor Swift found herself attracted to Travis Kelce's sense of humor, a revelation shared by 'Saturday Night Live' star Ben Marshall during an episode of Mike Birbiglia's 'Working It Out' podcast.

Marshall revealed that Swift had remarked on her enjoyment of Kelce's comedic performance during his hosting debut on 'SNL' in March 2023.

"She kinda told us that she watched his SNL episode and saw him in our video and was like, 'Oh, this guy seems funny,'" he recalled. "So, like, a little bit (we) brought them together," he added.

Swift's initial impression of Kelce eventually sparked their romance. Swift famously reached out to Kelce after learning about his failed attempt to give her his number on a friendship bracelet.

Despite initial hesitations about sharing the anecdote publicly, Marshall eventually disclosed the story.

On the podcast, the 28-year-old comedian admitted he hadn't told the story before because he was worried about Swift's loyal and devout fans' reaction.

"I was thinking about like maybe (sharing that anecdote) on Fallon, and then we were like, 'I think that if then they ever break up, we will be pinned for causing this disaster,'" he explained.

"It's just a very precarious situation," he added. "Because people have such strong feelings."

In October 2023, Taylor Swift, known for her hit song 'All Too Well,' stunned fans with a surprise appearance to introduce her friend Ice Spice as the musical guest.

Unbeknownst to fans, Swift had been quietly dating NFL star Travis Kelce behind the scenes for months. Their romance came to light when Swift made their relationship public for the first time at one of Kelce's NFL games, held on September 24.

Since then, Swift has been a regular fixture at Kelce's games, attending a total of 13 matches, including the Kansas City Chiefs' Super Bowl victory over the San Francisco 49ers.

In return, Kelce has shown unwavering support for Swift by attending several of her 'Eras Tour' concerts across the globe.
