LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: A resurfaced 'Gossip Girl' clip from over a decade ago is reigniting speculation about the fractured friendship between Blake Lively and Taylor Swift.

The scene, which shows Lively appearing to mock Swift, has gone viral just as the pop superstar is being drawn into Lively’s escalating legal dispute with 'It Ends With Us' director and co-star Justin Baldoni.

According to legal filings, Baldoni’s team claims Lively tried to pressure Swift into publicly siding with her, and allegedly encouraged the singer to delete text messages that could be used as evidence.

A 'Gossip Girl' scene from 2011 has resurfaced on TikTok, sparking fresh intrigue around the now-strained friendship between Blake Lively and Taylor Swift. In the clip from season four, Lively’s character Serena van der Woodsen returns from a trip with a stack of luggage, as per Express.

Leighton Meester’s character, Blair Waldorf, greets her with, “All this for two weeks?” to which Serena replies, “I had no idea where my PI mission was gonna take me, I had to be prepared.”

The camera then cuts to a straw cowboy hat, prompting Blair to jab, “For a night with Taylor Swift?”

The resurfaced clip arrives just as Swift appears to be distancing herself from Lively's legal feud with 'It Ends With Us' director Justin Baldoni.

While Swift reportedly felt a “huge sense of relief” after her subpoena was dropped, tensions remain high. According to court documents, Lively’s attorney allegedly pressured Swift to issue a public statement of support, implying that if she refused, private texts between the former friends might be leaked.

Lively’s legal team later dismissed the claim as “baseless, unnecessary, improper and abusive.” The court agreed, striking the allegations and granting Lively’s motion to dismiss Baldoni’s filing. Despite the legal relief, it seems the once-close bond between Lively and Swift may not be on the mend anytime soon.

As the legal battle between Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni continues to unfold, drawing Taylor Swift into the controvers, her representative has stepped forward to clarify the pop star’s position in the matter.

A rep for Taylor claimed, “Taylor Swift never set foot on the set of this movie, she was not involved in any casting or creative decisions, she did not score the film.”

Swift’s rep added, “She never saw an edit or made any notes on the film, she did not even see 'It Ends With Us' until weeks after its public release, and was traveling around the globe during 2023 and 2024 headlining the biggest tour in history.”

The representative stated that Taylor Swift's sole involvement in the film was the use of her track "My Tears Ricochet" from her 2020 album 'Folklore'.

The statement concluded: "Given that her involvement was licensing a song for the film, which 19 other artists also did, this document subpoena is designed to use Taylor Swift's name to draw public interest by creating tabloid clickbait instead of focusing on the facts of the case."
