LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Olivia Munn opened up about her first pregnancy when she welcomed her baby boy with John Mulaney in 2021.

In her recent interview with GQ, the actress admitted that she wasn’t "dating" the comedian when she expected their first child.

"It wasn't anything close to 'dating,' I barely knew him," Munn said, before sharing that Mulaney was excited to welcome their baby even if they had to co-parent.

"It wasn't necessarily, 'We're going to be married and live together' or any of that, but it was 'I'll be involved in some way,'" added the actress.

John Mulaney's reaction to Olivia Munn's first pregnancy

John Mulaney, who was in his early days of soberness in 2021, was quite happy to share the news with his family.

"That's the one thing that made him seem light and happy. I remember he was really excited to tell his parents," Olivia Munn recalled.

They finally decided to raise their child as a couple, and the two welcomed son Malcolm in November 2021, reported People.

Mulaney and Munn tied the knot on the Fourth of July in New York this year and welcomed their second child, Mei June Mulaney, via a surrogate in September.

"I had so many profound emotions about not being able to carry my daughter. When I first met our gestational surrogate we spoke mother to mother. She showed me so much grace and understanding, I knew I had found a real-life angel," Munn addressed over a post on Instagram.

"Words cannot express my gratitude that she kept our baby safe for 9 months and made our dreams come true," she added.

In another post, the actress revealed that "Mei (pronounced may) means plum in Chinese," while Mulaney, on his own account, said, "I love my little girl so much."
