Speaking about her cancer journey, Munn shared, "I'm doing really good today. There are good days and bad days, but I've hit a good stride."

The 44-year-old actress acknowledged the challenges of her diagnosis but expressed optimism about the progress she has made since undergoing treatment.

Munn was honored at the gala for her resilience and advocacy in raising awareness about breast cancer.

Olivia Munn's breast cancer diagnosis

Olivia Munn was diagnosed with bilateral breast cancer in April 2023 after a routine medical check-up led to further testing.

Since then, she has undergone five significant surgeries, including a double mastectomy, a lymph node dissection, and a hysterectomy.

"There is a real science to figuring out the best kind of medication for you," she explained.

"It’s not just about taking one prescription and hoping it works. It’s about understanding how your body responds and making adjustments along the way," she added.

She emphasized the importance of listening to her body and adapting to the changes that come with recovery.

Since her diagnosis, Munn has adopted a different approach to life, prioritizing self-care and embracing what she calls her "new normal."

"I think before all of this, I wanted to seize the day and get things done, making long to-do lists and pushing myself to accomplish as much as possible," she said.

"Now, my to-do lists are a lot shorter. I give myself grace and don't pressure myself to be constantly productive," Munn continued.

"I love organizing, but my house is a mess, and that’s okay. I don't know if it's because of cancer treatment or because I have two children. Either way, I’ve learned to let go of the small stuff and focus on what’s important," she shared.

He’s just the best," she said of Mulaney.

"We’re so, so close, such great friends, and that bond just got even stronger—not just because of having children, but especially because of going through this battle with cancer together," said Munn.
