‘The Color Purple’ actress claimed to be “so nervous” around Berry. But they still clicked adorable photos together at the LA Galaxy vs Inter Miami season opener.

Taking to X, Bailey posted two cute pictures of herself with her namesake and captioned them as “my night was made tonight 🥹i was so nervous 😭💘with the icon @halleberry ✨.”

Berry also posted three pictures on her Instagram, tagging the 23-year-old actress, and wrote, “When two Halles link up 🤍 truly adore you @hallebailey.”

Bailey soon commented below it, “I was living for this moment!! thank you for being so kind to me you’ve made my life 😭💕💕🥰.”

Halles' meeting sets Internet astir

The meet-up left the actress’ fans delighted as an X user tweeted, “I didn’t know that i needed this crossover sooooo badly.”

The second user said, “OMG HALLE squared😭.” A third commented, “Halle raise to Power 2.”

Halle Bailey and Halle Berry first met each other at the 2023 Academy Awards

However, this was not the first meeting of the two Halles. They came face-to-face initially at the 95th Academy Awards ceremony.

In May last year, ‘The Little Mermaid’ star shared on ‘Live With Kelly and Mark’, as per Hollywood Life, “I got to meet her this year at the Oscars. She was so kind to me.”

Berry added, “She’s been always really supportive to me over social media, and we’ve had a few inbox interactions, but that was my first time meeting her, and she’s an angel. It’s so cool.”

The new mother also revealed at the time that her “family, we’ve always loved Halle Berry. I mean, she’s amazing. There’s no one else I would rather have a similar name to because she’s so cool.”
